Coaster stations: On at top of hill, off at bottom

Would love multiple stations and station synchronisation in general. Lots of possibilities from my point of view.

One thing I'd love to be able to do is to have an entrance station at the top of the hill and an exit station at the bottom. Doing so would improve passenger flow and the boring hill lift section could be sandwiched in the middle. Dont know enough about real coasters to know I this exists IRL, but it must surely?

There are actually quite a few rides with separate entry and exit platforms, however, as far as I have seen, they are not typically used to prevent guests from having to ride the chain lift. Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom has separate platforms, but guests still go up a chain lift near the beginning of the ride. The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster in Disney Hollywood Studios has separate platforms, but it's a launched roller coaster. The only ride I can think of in the configuration you suggested is Pirates of the Caribbean, which is actually a boat ride. When you get off on the exit platform, you can see the boat start to go up a lift conveyor belt.

To be honest I don't mind whether it happens in real life or not, I just think it would make for a cool ride. Nice to know that there are at least a few examples. Would be cool for train's to arrive at the station empty for folk to just jump straight on.

Thing is that I actually thought about it as a direct consequence of getting frustrated at how much a hill lift kills your ride. I had a wooden coaster that went very high at the beginning on a chain lift with practically no excitement, it then kept a solid 6-9 range in terms of excitement all the way down but the end rating was something like 1 excitement. Seems a bit harsh. Maybe excitement should be a median value rather than mean average.

i used to do that in RCT1 but making the queue and exit paths all the way to the top of the hill was way worse of an idea lol

as far as having 2 stations for exit/loading well, its been suggested a LOT and i dont know why it hasnt been added

I'm sure it is on its way. I can see why it wasn't the first thing on the list. I just hope that when it does arrive it allow us to be really flexible with it. I.e. duel coasters that you start at station A end at station B and vice versa as well as separate loading/unloading stations.

I was sure it had been asked for in lots of different threads... it is just very hard with the huge number of threads in the suggestions area to know what has and what hasn't been asked for :)
