New path trick for short stairs and mellow inclines.

1 - build a straight path on the ground.

2 - use a shop and connect to the path, varying its height and distance can create the steps or ramp you want. (shops dynamically create what it needs to connect to the path, within certain heights and lengths - something i feel the paths should honestly do themselves)

3 - once you have the desired stairs/ramp you would like by changing the shops height or distance from the path, place the shop down.
4 - now delete the shop and you're left with the stairs it created. add a path to those stairs at the top.

5 - now your left with the stairs, delete the pathing below (as it could cause alignment and connection issues in the future)

6 - now build straight paths from the stairs themselves, holding "ctrl" so they do not connect to each other. you can make them as long as you want.

7 - if you end up with the path not wanting to build any further, just create a small plaza thats 2x2, then delete the sections you dont need, that will fix that issue.

8 - you should now be able to add more stairs along the 2 paths, they will snap in place perfectly all along the pathing you placed.

That's so cool! Now, since the engine can do this, it would be nice if it could be done without having to trick it. Great workaround in the meantime!

You can also duplicate the shops down the path to make multiple stair sets as well.

you can, but ive tried that a few times, and there are times where you just cant get them aligned well enough to line up. so be careful, which can also cause issues with path connections as well, as its so slightly different its hard to even see. however, other times, it works well, im working on a mainstreet right now where the stairs get smaller and smaller like you sometimes see, with the path they are coming off of at a small incline on the ground.

Solved a bridge problem I had wonderfully! The two ends are actually not directly adjacent, so the path is wobbly, but I used two laters of walls to hide it.

Thanks a bunch for the tutorial krux. Just wanted to say i mentioned you on my latest video and gave the link to this thread for anyone that wants to see more about the tutorial.
