Really bad FPS ingame

Hello,

I'm wondering if my PC is getting old or what since i'm experiencing horrible fps and lag.

My ambient room temperature is a bit high due to the summer but still I run alot of games like GTA5 on ultra with way higher fps.

I have:

Intel i7 950 overclocked to 3.5ghz
12gb DDR3 ram
Asus GTX780 3GB GDDR5 OC'd
Game and steam are installed on SSD

Now I have just placed 4 rides and about 700 guests and a little scenery in my park and i'm getting 15-30fps on LOW settings.

Any idea if there is a fix? My computer isn't full with virusses or something because it only happens on Planet Coaster :(

Ok so I probably would need to upgrade everything?

I thought my cpu was still pretty good

thats a shame :(
Would be worth using something like MSI Afterburner to monitor your CPU and GPU load while the game's running, to see if either of them is obviously the bottleneck. I've got a 980Ti and i5 6600K which should be more than capable, but I'm still seeing FPS drops (albeit not to the same extent as you).

My framerate Isn't the best with a 4770k and 980ti after playing for a while but it returns to normal if I reload my park. Have you tried that?

Your GPU should be plenty good enough to run the game. However, a CPU upgrade could be a good idea.
yeah but to upgrade cpu you also need to upgrade motherboard and ram, its pretty expensive

the game does run though, 1 ride on an empty sandbox is no problem but more than 4 rides and i get 20fps which is unplayable

Motherboard + a reasonable cup doesn't have to be that expensive, probably around £200 for something respectable. And you can keep everything else, it's not too tricky to take it apart and put it back together as long as you are careful (watch a few Youtube videos first).

Would tend to agree it's your old line cpu.

My processor is an i5-2500k @ 3.3ghz which is pretty old but I'm getting reasonable performance at high settings (game default) even when I plonk loads of rides down next to each other and have 2000+ guests. I get some lag when placing rides and blueprints, the game seems to take a little while to load the objects.

My graphics card is a 750ti so slightly less powerful than yours, but not too dissimilar, I have slightly more RAM but that shouldn't make a difference, you have a better hard drive.....it's probably your CPU.
