Pc Specifications

Hello guys,[yesnod]

I really wanna Play this AWESOME game but I don't know if my Laptop can handle this...
Here are my system data:

- Intel Core i5-4200U up to 2,6GHz
- AMD Radeon HD 8670M with 1GB Dedicated VRAM
- 8GB DDR3 L Memory (-> I could upgrade this to 16GB)
- 1000GB HDD
- Windows 10 HOME

I have a Laptop so I can't upgrade my GPU and processor so easy...
But I can upgrade my ram...

It's okay when I can play on low settings but then it should be fluently...

Please help me & answer

With it being a laptop, as always, I think you'll be pushing it, however, I managed to get the game to run on my laptop which only has Intel integrated graphics and an i3 processor on low quality, but it ran at about 5fps on an empty park. So it worked but wasn't the best, your laptop is a bit better than that so I would imagine you'll get it going on low graphics but I can't say for definite.

When I was purchasing my laptop I looked at one with your exact specs.

My Specs: i5-4210M 2.6GHz - 12GB RAM - Intel HD 4600 - NVIDIA GeForce 820M

The GeForce 820M is only slightly better than your Radeon 8670M. Unfortunately the i5-4200U is a lower end processor. My laptop has slightly better specs than yours and I have to run on low settings to get a decent frame rate. I am capable of having it run pretty smooth until I start having more and more guests in the park, but you would probably be laggier than I am.

But you think that the Game is enjoyable for me?
Do you think it will get better optimized with the update tomorrow?

Enjoyable is a bit subjective. One person may be happy with a 15-20 FPS but another may not be happy with anything less than 30 FPS. You will be pushing it to get anything like decent frame rates on your specs even at low res once you start to build you park up. Going by what others have said - will you be happy building just small parks at low graphics settings? Frontier are optomizing as they go along but bear in mind a lot of features are still missing, like water which is a notorious frame rate eater. So what is gained in tightening the code may be lost in the game having to render more complex assets further down the line. One thing is for certain - the minimum specs never go down for game as it goes through Alpha and beta to final release. The only change is usually an increase in minimum specs.....

There are plenty of laptops out there these days that can be used for serious gaming. My Asus ROG runs PC fine.

The issue is that it may run OK at the moment for some, but as time goes on the requirements are only going to go up, not down as some people seem to think so. Yes there will be optimisations, but if a machine is struggling now without any simulation or final graphics going on then it will probably be a slideshow by the time of release.

Sim games are always taxing on any machine , PC will be no different. Nobody should base (myself included) the performance of what they get now thinking that it will be enough. you could be in for a nasty shock come release.

Ok thank you guys...
I think I buy the Early Bird Edition and when
my system can't handle it I have to buy a new system...
Then I should start now to raise money and maybe Christmas I
can play this game without problems :)

1) Does the game has a launcher where I have to login?
2) Can I download the game endless?

Hi Winner,

Planet Coaster can be downloaded and played using the Frontier Launchpad, a launcher that becomes available in your downloadable products in the Frontier Online Store after you have bought the Alpha edition of the game.

You can download the game endless times. There's no limit on that. The launcher will also automatically update Planet Coaster when updates are available.
