Just a contest or a hint at the next dlc pack?

Just so I can fully cement my status as the grand high killer of joy, that image is not a secret teaser for a future update, sorry! It's just a fun image to accompany the competition.

But, October 7 is about 3 months from the release of Vintage, and DLC’s have been about 3 months apart. I too thought the date was a hint at the release date of the fall DLC but then I realized that U.K. and most of the world outside the US does the date in dd/mm/yyyy format. The US usually puts the month first. We are also one of the last countries on Earth to use Fahrenheit and miles, does the U.K. use Fahrenheit and miles or Celsius and kilometers?

We Celsius and miles in the UK (although I prefer Fahrenheit as that is what I was taught in school)

I suspect we haven't moved over to kilometres because all the road signs are in mph. I would hate to think of the cost and the number needed if we moved to kph

Canada did it in 1977. Sept. 1977 Canada switched to kilometers. They must have replaced all their mph signs with km/h signs and changed distances to metric, like the distance to Toronto would be in kilometers and distance to the next exit 500 m (meters). The US where I live is still stuck on miles and Fahrenheit. I hope we never switch because I’m too used to F temps and miles.

What has this mph/kmh / and Fahrenheit/Celsius discussion to with this thread and PlanCo? [confused]

It was just to prove how different the US and UK are and that I read the date wrong on the funfair competition. The date was July 10, not October 7. We are due for another DLC in October though. July 10 + 3 months = October 10.

Frontier Developments is located in the UK, so they use DD/MM/YY(YY).
The 7th of October is a Sunday...
There won't be a release on a Sunday!

btw.
There are only two formats that make sense:
1. DD/MM/YY(YY) e.g. search for the newest
2. YY(YY)/MM/DD e.g. search for the oldest

MM/DD/YY(YY) is a bit like the US measuring "system" [wink]

Please close this thread!
