Planet Coaster - 1.0.3 Update

They will release information when they think it is applicable. We got some last time - this time maybe there isn't much to say other than "under-the-hood" stuff which they think we might not find interesting? This is subjective,. however.

In the end, it's an update. Patch notes present or not - isn't it a good indication that Frontier is still trying to get on top of things? It's not like this is going to be their final update and nothing more will be done.

This thread could use some positivity.

Side joke: If anyone's having a bad day, I'll give you guys a hug. No need to take it out on Frontier, lol [haha]

Done.

Aww that's a little negative buddy. We have given update notes a lot of times. This one is more of an under the hood tech fix which is aimed at improving specific crash issues and stability. I appreciate it feels a little vague but we wanted to explain that it's some tech tweaks and planned fixes rather than worry people that there was some unscheduled update.

Let your developer team know that people actually do wait longer than 5 minutes to get on a coaster in real life.......................................................................................................................

I'm actually still having the queue line bug... :(

I have a ride with a full queue, but there's another ride where this is happening:

Since 10:30 GMT is 4:30 CST, I don't see how people could say they are playing it w/ the new update yet (unless it hit early and I have yet to see it yet)

Edit:

Or unless they intended AM and not PM, in which case it prolly came out before I've been home. =)

It came out 10 hours ago.

Thank you for confirmation that the queues are still messed up.

Thanks for the nice mini-update, keep them coming FD. [up]

On the notes, well, I assume that if they don't give much more details, is because they are minor bugs or related to stuff that would take more time to explain than it deserves. In any case, if it was something groundbreaking I'm sure they would publicise it. So calm down and enjoy the game with fewer bugs (hopefully) [haha]

I believe that when a small update like this one, which was explained as an "under the hood" (which, by the way, is an explanation, albeit one some folks may not like) is announced and released, then one should take it at face value.

As for specific patches for specific people, let's use our heads here. I'm sure the reason that user specific issues are not announced is because that then all the whiners and doom and gloomers would whine and complain that their specific issue isn't resolved and why in gods name are they required to wait while someone else's issue is resolved? Don't we all understand how important their lives are? They paid good money for rubbish, etc etc etc...Well, I paid good money too.

The game is not even a month old, and already we have had three patches and an update with new content is right around the corner. Is the game perfect? No. From what we have seen so far, is Frontier going to continue to support the game? Yes.

You want perfection? Buy RCT World! [big grin]

This thing's starting to become a slippery slope for the staff...

Situation A: Doesn't release patch notes --- "WTH no patch notes?!"

Situation B: Releases patch notes --- "Why isn't the whatchamacallit issue fixed yet?!"

They will never win. XD

The only winning move is not to play. Let us hope they never figure out how to win.

Good point, though. It makes for a healthy interaction between the devs and the players. [yesnod]

I do however reiterate the need for positivity though. It's a given that Frontier still needs to polish the game more and the way they handle issues but we can at the very least encourage them to do better instead of repeatedly calling them out like they never done anything right. [haha]

Back on-topic... can't wait to get home and play again. Not expecting much from a 2.1 MB update, but I'm looking forward for the one of the 15th.

I do [heart] this community!

We actually need people to make outlandish requests to remind us all that they are very passionate about the game. If they didn't care the requests would stop & they would go on to some other game. It's keeps every one on their toes to keep things in perspective. We can't all be cheerleaders (of an almost perfect game). Let them ask for ridiculous things so we can (hopefully nicely) remind them of how much they love this game even with the shortcomings that are still there.

The world we live in never cease to amaze me, and the world is truly becoming a shelish one. And while I do enjoy the forum... but this endless constant complaining from immature adults is exhaustng. Are we seriously whining about why they didn't include detailed patch notes, really! Grow up people!

Wow cmon people, give them a break!

The game is only out for 3 weeks! if they were able to fix all bugs in just 3 weeks the game would have been released more than a year ago because that would be crazy fast coding.
It's not like they have some kind of bug search engine for "crash bug 1" or "queue bug 0" that brings them to one of the millions of lines of code and says what's wrong with it so they can fix it.

If there is one of all the game developpers at this moment that i have faith in right now it's Frontier, they brought us a game that looks wonderfull and they are listen to the community more than any developer does at this moment. Yes, certain things are annoying but some things are just not an easy fix!

Some people behave like an addict where a little bit just isn't enough and they want everything they can think of and they want/prefer it yesterday instead of tomorrow!

Give them some slack and chill out a bit, bring that blood preasure down and give them some time to fix things the right way instead of a quick even more buggy fix.
Buggs will be fixed, content will be added... but not everything in just 1 day.

Frontier crew, thank you for a wonderfull game!
I know you listen to the community and hope you hear this as well, keep up the great work and i know this game has many more years of gaming fun for a lot of us! [heart]

No one is saying we all want it fixed now, what people are asking for is some basic info to go "oh we have resolved 'X' we believe maybe you guys could check it out"

It also would have stopped people suggesting the queue issue was fixed for instance when it wasn't because someone seems some different behaviour briefly and then dis-information is spread that it is fixed when Frontier haven't.
