Parks Busch Gardens Williamsburg (Recreation)

Welcome to Busch Gardens Williamsburg! This is a park I ever wanted to visit, so I recreated the park in Planet Coaster with Google Street View, some pictures and videos.
It took me about 16 months to finish my recreation.
I'm from Germany and I have some difficulties to write my report in English, so please have mercy. [big grin]

Busch Gardens is divided into 9 major areas, so we start our tour in England. It's the first theme section after you've entered the park. You'll find the Globe Theatre and the famous clock tower.

If you follow the path, you'll enter the next section: Scotland.

Since 1978 the parks oldest roller coaster is operating here. The Loch Ness Monster (Arrow) is the only coaster with two interlocking loops in the world.

If you follow the path on the right, you'll get to Ireland.

The next section is France.

It's home of the huge Dive Coaster "Griffon".
It contains a ninety-degree drop from 205 feet, 2 immelman loops, and a "splashdown" finale.

GCI Woodie: InvadR

It's the newest roller coaster in the park and opened in 2017.

There is a little swiss alp section in this park. The main reason it exists, is the B&M Inverted Coaster "Alpengeist". The park offers some spectacular views on this ride and the log flume.

The Oktoberfest is the second Germany section.
Curse of DarKastle was the first attraction after you've entered this part. They closed it in 2017.

I decided to recreate the Big Bad Wolf instead of Verbolten. It was a suspended roller coaster, designed by Arrow Dynamics.
They closed it in 2009.

The map wasn't big enough to build Fiesta Italia, so I had to cancel this section. [downcast]

In the last part of this tour we'll get to Pompeii.
Escape from Pompeii is a shoot-the-chutes from Intamin. The attraction is based on the ancient city of Pompeii when it was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. There is a small dark ride section with many special effects like fire, mist, cracking wooden boards and a tumbling sculpture.

It's a small area for kids, including the small roller coaster "Groovers Alpine Express".

I'd really love to put this park into the Steam Workshop, but there is an unkown error while uploading the park (and anything else). Please let me know, if you have any idea. Thank You! [happy]

That is an amazing park recreation!! The pics look fantastic, the atmosphere looks so lively. You have made all the iconic coasters, looking so realistic! The buildings and themeing are fantastic!

Maybe you can save the park as a second copy (under a new name) and try to upload that one. Maybe you just need to restart the computer and steam so that it properly synchronizes again.

Hope you can fix it! A lot of greets, Corkscrewloop[happy]

Never been to, but have always wanted to go to this park. Nice job and a lot of detail. I especially like the detail in beer haus interior and the gardens.

Beautiful recreation!! I hope you can get the park uploaded. You should post your error in the Tech Support forum. Maybe someone there can help. I really would like to explore your park!

Thank you for all the nice comments! [happy]

I tried it, but I can't upload anything to the workshop. [downcast]

I already submitted the error but didn't get any helpful answers. Anyway thanks for your suggestion! [happy]

Yes, Busch Gardens looks absolutely amazing! I've watched some walkthroughs on YouTube and it's all so athmospheric. I like how they create theme sections with so many lovely details and the music everywhere. [happy]

I can't upload anything, no buildings, no coasters, no parks... nothing. [knockout]
do you have any recent spend with Steam? They do limit access of posting, etc, unless you spend money with them. sometimes you just have to add $5 (or equivalent) to your Steam store account and this will get cleared up.

I think that shouldn't be any problem. I had enough money on my Steam account and also tried to reinstall Steam on my computer.

Any luck on trying to upload this...still hoping you can. The park looks very realistic and faithful to the actual park. Maybe you should ask the DEV's for help. Or try re-uploading the park again. Check your admin rights on your computer, this might actually help. I hear some people are running steam as an administrator and that it makes the program work erratically. Good luck, looking forward to exploring the park soon

OH.
MY.
GOD.

I live an hour away from this park, and frequent it often. You absolutely nailed this park! I've been using this park as some inspiration for the park I'm working on, so I've been looking into how the architecture and such is done in this park, and there's so many little details that I noticed as I was scrolling through all the images that just completely blew me away. This park is a very terrain based location, and the amount of work you did to match it must've taken forever. The buildings look absolutely spectacular, and all of the gardening is just amazing. To think that you did all of this just from photos and street view just completely blows my mind. BGW is such a complex and beautiful park, and the amount of work you put into this really helps show just how well done the park is. It is one of my favorite parks to visit (totally not biased or anything living so close lol), and you completely captured the look and feel of this wonderful park. Have I said yet that this is absolutely amazing, because it honestly is. I'm at a loss for words. This is just so incredibly well done, and I can't commend you enough for it. Well done man. This is just amazing.

@disneylanddude Thank You, I already started a thread in the tech support forum and also tried some different ways to upload the park.

@Legomax98 Wow, thanks for your nice comment! My english isn't good enough to express my thanks in the way I want to, but I really appreciate that! [happy]

You've done an excellent job on this. There's so many beautiful screens. And you've done all the iconic coasters justice. I'd love to see some POVs. I hope you can get Steam to play nice so you upload this gem. I'm sure there's a load of us who would love to poke around in there.

Thanks! Here are some videos. You can also check out my Planet Coaster playlist on my channel, but I don't really like my first videos from Planet Coaster. [happy]

WONDERFUL videos!

You could try uploading your file to someplace other than the workshop...like MediaFire or something. Just zip its folder (should contain two files) and upload it.
