Ok seems its going to be also for the PS4, that means it wont be related to Planet Coaster in any way.
So what is Planet Safari then? Is it the same thing but they choose a different name afterall, or is there still gonna be a Jurassic Expansion. It wouldn't make much sense to work on 2 different jurassic games at the same time.. or maybe it does.. all we can do is speculate I guess, feel free to join [tongue]

It's indeed an interesting one. I really tought Planet Safari would be the next game but obviously it's not (because it's Jurassic World Evolution)
Since the term "Planet" is involved just like in Planet Coaster it could still be that Planet Safari will be the first BIG add-on to planet coaster.
Personally i would love to have a Safari add-on that's comparable to Wild for RCT3. But (And this one is very important to me) before we get any "sidetrack" add-on's i would first love to have more stuff thats related to theme parks because i feel there is way more to add. To be specifik, i think it would be amazing if the first big add-on would be about darkrides. Giving us some mechanisms that are used for darkrides and obviously the rides themselfs (omnimovers, boat rides, suspended tracked rides, etc etc)
But back to what you are suggesting. I think there is a good chance it's Planet Coaster related now that it's confirmed to not be the new game

Yeah I agree it isn't time for a big expansion like a safari expansion or a pool resort expansion since there is still some more stuff to be done with the theme park game in general. Dark rides should be part of the theme park game in general as well as the various track rides you suggested.
But how do you know Planet Safari is still gonna be a thing or did they only trademarked the name before they knew they were gonna call this other thing Jurassic World Evolutions?

That's interesting, can't wait. I guess then all that's left for us to do is speculate, because speculating is always nice [big grin]
Oh yeah.. [sad] DIdn't think about that. Or keep others from releasing something with that name.
Back with RCT3, expansionpacks were called differently though. But to be fair: "Planet Coaster: Safari" doesn't sound as good as just "Planet Safari". But Planet Safari sounds more like a standalone game. And how would they gonna call Planet Pools then?[big grin] Because that doesn't roll of the tongue so well either[tongue] Maybe Planet Aqua. Or Planet Tropical.

I don't think this is the reason. Like you say in your next alinea, there are so many alternatives that need to be registered as well.
I think we can expect this to be one of the big expansions, more like Busch Gardens style parks.
I hope you're right, it does seem like a great idea, I loved in in RCT3 and i'm always for "never change a winning formula" so this is great news if it would happen. I am wondering though what timeframe they are planning on doing this and what it will mean regarding the development of planet coaster itself. Maybe if it's coming late 2018 or something then there is still more time to finish planet coaster. I cannot wait till I hear more.
I actually just learned today about Jurassic World Evolutions so I got some catching up to do
Also Safari and Jurassic are two different themes, so we might still get zoo stuff for planet coaster because they probably dont wanna mix the two. Dino's in your coaster park does seem a little odd

If we get to see stuff from JWE I really hope we get the monorail, that thing looks so good!
To be fair, didn't Soaked and Wild for RCT3 have additions to the "theme park" side of the game in addition to the, well, additions? I think the "splitting" coaster was part of the Wild expansion. Tunnels were part of Soaked. So a Planet Safari expansion doesn't exclude fixing/adding things to the base theme park side of the game. Hopefully any large expansion would not ignore the base game.
I wish that Jurassic World was an expansion to PC instead of a stand-alone game
It seems like JW will offer better management features and more interesting scenarios, but less customization. I was not a fan of the Wild expansion for RCT3, but if they make a Planet Safari it needs to be compatible with Planet Coaster, so that we can use our current workshop items when creating safaris. It almost seems like JW is exactly what I wish Planet Safari will be if it turns out we get a safari expansion for PC

Add Space Mountain cars from Walt Disney World or Matterhorn cars from DisneyLand?
I would really like some cars/trains that around one seaters like the cars from Space Mountain at Disney World or the Matterhorn cars/trains from Disneyland. I feel like they could do this easily cause they already made a pretty close version of the Big Thunder Mountain trains. I would just think it would be very cool for them to add cars that have one person behind each other. I also feel like this could potentially be a DLC for a couple bucks but it would be cooler to see it in the actual game for free soon! [yesnod][up]
