More DLC coming

Animatronic dino's? Jurassic Park jeep tracked ride? Universal Studio's?

Since they want to release the game simultaneously with the movie, I'm hoping they'll expand on that and we will get a jurassic theme at that time too. Or even an expansion pack. (waterfalls!)

About the new dlc coming, I'm especially wondering the when. The first time it was on there for months before they actually released it, while you'd think it'd be a couple of weeks tops.
Bit annoying that [blah] (it was months right, or did it just feel like forever? ;D )

A lot of us wanted skins and we actually got skins, yet they still took us by surprise. I kinda liked that.
(I say this believing some day we will be able to switch and not have to redo an entire track; as I also believe we'll get a timeline at some point. Just seems so logical they would (at least try to) work on things like that. Fingers crossed)
Curious what it wil be this time...

I would like to suggest that Frontier should release one DLC a month instead of 3 new ones quarterly. that would give us our monthly dose of new content.

This would cause the DLC to remain small in size though, we already have a bunch of small DLCs, no need for more of those
Id rather see a full expansion each year, like with previous RCTs, hopefully PC can start catching up in terms of content with the next big update

I'm not a builder (it's astonishing the things creators build and share with the community), so these construction kits don't hold any real value to me, but I think they're a nice touch here and there for those who do build and can find innovative ways to use them. I think November will be the last free update they give to us, since it'll mark the 1st year anniversary.

With future DLCs, perhaps 3 DLCs a quarter, or at least 2 DLCs a quarter, with a major expansion every 6 to 8 months? I do prefer quality over quantity. I mean, look at The Sims 4 with their DLC managing. Some of those packs do hold some value, but (IMO, even though I enjoy playing The Sims) most of the packs don't hold up on the quality value, and I would hate to see the same method used in Planet Coaster.

So for upcoming DLCs after the November update, it would be great if they released a series of mini construction kits 1 month, while releasing a mid-sized DLC a month or two later; major expansions for the game such as resorts, water parks, zoos/aquariums, etc.. were released once a year. These major expansions included new management tools, flats, coaster types, tracked rides and a new theme, whereas mid-sized DLCs released 2 to 3 new flats, a new coaster type, and a smaller theme or new scenery pieces added to existing themes already in the game. The smaller micro-transactions could be anywhere from what we received as our first DLCs, to mini ride packs that came with a few new building pieces and particle effects.

If you check out the SteamDB, it would appear the existing DLC's have all had some new content added this evening [yesnod]

What new content have been added? I didn't see anything new added.

Well we won't know until released to the public [big grin] if indeed there has been 'content' added, just noticed that all 3 had been 'updated', could mean something, could mean nothing, I guess time will tell [happy]

Would be weird if they add content to the micro transactions. Probably just tweaked some models/textures.

Spooky pack has been confirmed, the other 2... maybe water parks and and something like the Back to the future, Knight rider and Munsters DLC.... Ghostbusters would be awesome.

Didn't realize there were 2 more coming on top of the spooky pack. Curious to see where this goes. Will it be the same price as the spooky pack? That's 33$ on top of the game. Now I wanna support frontier financially but I need word that there is still gonna be gameplay fixes/additions and not just extra visual content because i'm kinda at a deadend with that. Sure you can create beautiful stuff and the extra scenery items are always nice, but the 'game' aspect is a bit lacking still. So i'm mostly interested in what will change gameplay-wise.

I was thinking today wouldn't it be interesting if they had licensed a Beatlejuice Content pack?

Maybe they put stuff like scenery objects in DLC and keep the fixes in the free updates.

the first 3 DLC cost $4 each, or $12 total (for very little content)
the 4th DLC (spooky) is $11... hopefully it has more content though

we know 2 more DLC are coming soon, possibly bigger ones too
that brings the cost of the DLC to over $30 already, and it will obviously keep climbing

and thats not even mentioning any of the pre-order bonuses some people spent extra on
seems like it would be better for the workshop if these scenery packs were bundled together

Now let me also point out, that many years ago, it was very distasteful for a video game to have advertisements, and the only games that could get away with it were sports games (as real life stadiums are filled with advertisements). Then at some point, it became popular for games to include licensed music from the radio, but this was never something the consumer paid for, developers just did it as a bonus.

Now with Planet Coaster though, we are paying to have licensed movie products advertised in the game, when we dont even need it. We already had Back to the Future stuff before they released the DLC, and we have other licensed properties like nintendo, sega, tron, limbo, etc, already in the game. Why do we need licensed content in a Creative game like this? Minecraft doesnt rely on that stuff. Other companies should be paying frontier for the honor to be in this game!

Still it seems they got the order wrong. If those QOL updates were fixed first, lots of people would be more than happy to buy the extra content. You don't repaint a car that is having engine issues. [rolleyes]

And that's not telling the people who created the visual stuff off, i'm sure it looks amazing, it's just a slight irritation about the general course of action. We know there are many non-visual things that require attention first. If we at least would have some guarantee that they are being worked on. And I mean like to see a todo list that many game devs have publicly, then you would know what you are supporting. General: "yes we are looking to make the game better always :D" replies don't seem to do much if you still see many of the same suggestions being talked about again and again here. So that means it's difficult for me to enjoy the DLC because of that. [sad]
