I quit

I am quitting Planet Coaster and going back to RCT3 because my game is screwed up and I can’t get subscribed blueprints to show up. RCT3 didn’t have this problem. At least in RCT3 everything saves locally. I like Planet Coaster so far, but if my game is going to be messed up because of steam, then I throw in the towel. It was a fun year of Planet Coaster, but now it has come to the point where it is just too frustrating to continue. I also uninstalled RCTW.

If I understand correctly the OP reinstalled Steam and it hasnt synched the workshop items they were subscribed to.
Unfortunately I cant really offer any solutions which is why I hadnt replied on any of the other threads started by the OP.
After the past month I will say that the Workshop can be a bit janky at times and patience and perseverance can be the key.

No, it’s worse than that. None of the blueprints show up except the ones that I made or saved. All of my subscribed parks are gone, but now three out of 50+ show up. No other past RCT game did this. Something is wrong on mine or Steam’s end. I think it was a poor choice to use Steam and have subscribed blueprints save to Steam rather than your game directory. I am starting to get frustrated with PC because of this. I reinstalled PC, no luck. If there is no easy fix for this then PC is useless. If I can’t get subscribed blueprints to show up in game then what’s the use?

So none of the items you have subscribed to are showing up meaning they havent synched from the workshop.
You could possibly try contacting Steam support and seeing if there is a way to force the workshop content to update. For me it has happened automatically after reinstalling Planet Coaster about 45 minutes ago due to issues I was having uploading to the workshop.

I can assure you that if you subscribe to a blueprint on steam it will create a copy on your local harddisk as well.

As far as i understand you there goes something wrong indeed, and i can't tell you right now on how to fix it. But i can say it's not just poorly designed because thay ARE supposed to be downloaded to your local system :) (otherwise you would also lose all your blueprints again if you're not connected to the internet)

RCTW uninstalled when I uninstalled Steam. So now I won’t bother redownloading it. I think there is a problem with PC updating, it’s not updating even if I unsubscribe and resubscribe to items. But, 3 parks out of 50+ mysteriously appeared. The parks that I subscribed to, not my local saves which are all there.

No, I meant that I won’t reinstall RCTW. I reinstalled Steam, that’s when the problems started.

Does steam download the blueprints? Like do they show up on you local HD?

(Usually stored here : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\ )

I was wondering where the file directory for blueprints was so that I could check it. I do still think that PC is a half baked game compared to RCT3. RCT3 has water park elements and animals which PC does not yet have. If you ignore the free form grid (which is actually a pain sometimes) freeform paths, and terrain sculpting, PC is a step backwards in some way from RCT3. Some of the RCT3 wall sets like shyguy’s and StationJimJr’s are just as good as the PC ones. I’d like to see PC a year from now and if it is any further ahead. The blueprints show as subscribed on Steam, but don’t show up in the game. All of them going back to November 2016. I checked the directory and yes, only 3 files are in that directory. The rest of the workshop files must have deleted but they show as subscribed on Steam and I can't get PC to recognize any subscribed items, even if I unsubscribe and resubscribe to them. Somehow 3 parks showed up at the main menu under the workshop parks.

You stated in another post that you hit the subscription limit, could it be that it's going to take some time to download all the things you subscribed to again? I don't know what the limit is it sounds like it's a lot

Is it possible to open a new fresh account on Steam and reinstall PC there? Or would I have to purchase another copy? I think that might solve the problem. Then I would just have to subscribe to blueprints again. I might think about trying that. Because reinstalling Steam or PC on my current account doesn’t help. What I’ll do is just subscribe a little at a time the ones since last year and only really important ones.

New steam account will require you to buy it again

Can I move my old saves to a new install of PC under a new account? The saves that are under my id, such as my own blueprints and parks. I guess if worst comes the worst I’ll rebuy it and start over with a fresh account and install. I don’t know what else to do and not sure if Valve/Steam can do anything to get subscribed blueprints to show up in game.
