Build a coaster with 5 seconds of "air time"

Having a blast playing the new scenarios so far but I've run into a roadblock. I'm working on "The Great Tree" in the Princess missions and have been able to build a park to meet the easy and hard requirements. However the medium requirements include building a coaster with at least 5 seconds of "Air Time" and I have no idea how to do this. I have researched everything available in the map and only have two coaster types to build: Mine Train (canyon runner) or Wooden Coaster (monster)... I built a Canyon Runner all around the great tree but it doesn't meet the requirement for Air Time...

Has anyone figured this out yet? Do I just need to have a higher drop after the chain lift or something?

"Air time" is the feeling of weightlessness or negative gravity force experienced on a roller coaster or other amusement rides. On roller coasters this feeling is usually achieved by the train going over a hill.

Make sure you get some good height and have many ups and downs the coaster train going over the hill will equal to a certain amount of air time.

You get the best airtime if you allow a coaster to have almost no G forces when it is at the top of a hill (vertical G forces)

See the video. Everytime the airplane reaches the top of the flightcurve, you can see those people float through the air. That is airtime.
You can do the same thing with coasters in PC.
It's all about the speed at the top of the parabole (not too fast, not too slow)

Ok thanks for the replies. must not be bumpy enough... would be cool to have this included as a heat map like excitement, fear, puking... probably never need to see it again though.

Does it mean 5 sustained seconds, or 5 seconds total? If it's sustained then build a nice long parabolic hill that should provide "airtime" throughout the entire hill. If you're not sure what the shaping should be, look up Goliath at Six Flags Magic Mountain or Titan at Six Flags Over Texas. The hill after the first turnaround is a perfect example of what you want to build for sustained air time.

It is in the heatmaps. It's under vertical G Forces. Look for the negative g's. 0 and below is what you want to aim for.

Not exactly what you are looking for, however, you can view the Vertical G heatmap and look for blue colors for negative G's. My only problem has been that My coaster isn't counting even though it meets the requirements. Probably because I started with a blueprint and then edited it.

I started from scratch, and met all requirements and it's still not registering :/

well aparently in planet coaster air time is achieved by building a straight track that goes in a circle.

I don't even get a Rollercoaster with that stats. There is no help or info how to get the Coaster more fun, more vomit. When there is much fun, it's not enough vomit and much vomit is no fun. I edit nor for about 2 hours and don't get it. This make no fun.

Make sure you have the coaster connected to the paths and able to turn it to open.

If that doesn't do it, I would bet your coaster didn't meet the requirements

What? You're supposed to build your own coaster

it was a joke referring to planet coaster not taking into account earths gravity. 0g is a coaster standing still, which also happens to be the measured gravity of outer space (not including micro gravity)

I think they are using it as a measure of relative force rather than Actual force.

That is what the Workshop is for.... Youll find a plethora of pre-made coasters that fulfill those requirements.
Ill admit, it takes a lot of practice to get the hang of Coaster building, Esp with the Woodies.
