Designate certain roller coasters as children's

It would be cool to be able to make non intense coasters that are smaller than the full coasters that we can designate as kids coasters that would not be considered not fun to ride on and you would see a lot of kids in line instead of adults and it would still be considered exciting. It would also be fun to theme these areas

This is a great suggestion.

I'm 100% with you on that.

+1000 !!!

Good idea. When you make kiddie coasters and such in previous games the people would just think it is too boring. Better designate them as kiddie level so "correct" type people ride on them. Of course wimpy adults can ride too ;D

Plus parents should be able to ride with their kids and not get bored by their level but instead get excited for their children's sake!

+5000 This would make it even better to help your guests then just placing excitement for them, also the fact kiddies have their own rides/amusement!

I would definitely go for this. The only game I've managed to make a convincing small kiddie coaster in is No Limits 2. And that currently doesn't have park guests. Half the fun is seeing their reactions while riding.
And with the charm Planet Coaster already has, it would just blow the doors off adorable to see kids getting excited lining up for and riding with their mum or dad.

It would be nice if the game would do that automaticly with a certain intensity rating. But I also think there should be limits. Like a Giga Coaster or alike would be silly as kids only ^^

Great Idea +50[up]. You could also have a ride size chart like they do in real life for kids too small to ride certain ones. Just an idea, not needed but would make more realistic.

This is a great idea. I think that this would also mean we'd have to pay particular attention to certain demographics that we'd usually ignore or overlook. That way, if we create a thrill park, we'd also have to concentrate on building a small area of the park that Children can have as theirs and that was maybe even more immersive of an experience than what the adults have in their areas of the parks.

Would act as a nice way of organising you flow of guests as well. If you have areas for just children you could reduce the amount of people walking around your intense rides and allow better park optimisation.

You could also apply this principle to theming elements. So that some guests already feel scared before they go on a ride and get a better overall ride exsperience. Children might not even want to go into an area because they are to scared.

Love this idea! Would help to fill the queues of kiddie rides and add a new element to designing and controlling your park.

Excellent suggestion. This is something I always felt was lacking from RCT3. I'd love to build and theme areas designed for a younger audience and feel it would fit in perfectly with their fairy tale theme! Small coasters like the Wacky worm I've linked to below would a joy to theme around with the tool set we're getting in Planet Coaster!

This would fit in perfectly with the family group dynamics as well adding a whole new layer to the simulation!

Edit: Just wanted to credit Theme Park Review for the video!

We all know we are getting a Fairyland Theme of some sort, because we saw the concept art in the Live Stream, but we also need a Children's Theme, where we can create an area just for Kiddies rides, with things like we saw in that Whacky Worm Roller Coaster. I liked the idea of having animations inside the lift hill Apple, where the coaster is going slow. That was a nice themed ride and something like it would be ideal in Planet Coaster.

i'm sure they'll put Junior coaster because it's a "must have" in game [up]

But there is a Difference between Junior Coasters and Kiddie Coaster. Kiddie Coaster can be fit in a small-medium sized Mall Hallway and can be as short as 100ft, a drop hill of 6-10ft and they go around 2,3, 4, 5 times. Hard to do with a Junior Coaster ( not that it can't be done )

The same could be said for Kiddie Trains. A Simple Oval with only 50ft of track but Themed Heavily and a Cartoony as all hell Loco & Cars.
