Scenery / terrain and Ride Stats

Just noticed that ride stats are not influenced by scenery or terrain? I've built two rides with lots of on ride scenery, triggered events, through tunnels and hills and its made no difference to the ride stats?

Terrain has no influence, scenery has an influence on the rides popularity but not its excitement/fear stats

There are 7 ratings for rides

- Excitement
- Fear
- Nausea
- Scenery
- Prestige
- Queue Length
- Price

Prestige is essentially the sum total of EFN including scenery. You place scenery, prestige goes up. Increase the excitement, prestige goes up. Changing the price or queue length does not affect prestige. Flat rides only have ratings for queue scenery, while track rides have ratings for queue and ride scenery, thats why slow track rides get the highest prestige.

I know queue scenery has influence on guests riding but what about on-ride theming and scenery?

there is a stat in one of the tabs that shows ride theming similar to queue scenery, how much that effects people wanting to ride it I dont know

OK, thanks but looking at the pop up on Prestige under track rides and coasters it says the prestige is based upon QUEUE scenery, not ride scenery, which is what I was querying. Is there a different rating system you are refering to or is this what you mean, i.e. Prestige is based upon queue scenery?

The reason for this thread is that I noticed that when I built an elaborate log flume themed inside mountains with effects etc and saved it as a blueprint and then plonked it down as just a bare ride it got the same EFN ratings as the heavily themed version. It seems a shame that with all the scenerey the game includes and that most real ife rides are 'themed' on-ride if our ride theming hard work in game is not used to calculate any benefit?

If you put a triggered ride event, the prestige will go up. This happens in ANY ride (it is extremely usefull on flat rides).
This wont affect the EFN, only the prestige, just like normal scenary.
And I find this mechanic completely logical, the EFN depends only on what your ride does, so the scenary doesnt have to affect this.
