Waterfeatures and Water landscaping...

Hey

Not sure if anyone remembers from RCT, when you could have the water jets that could be placed into water to make a Jet/Foutain..... This idea was great and enabled some really cool uses of water. I hope something similar to this will appear in PC - I love the manipulation of water - from water falls and water features placed around rides and in landscaping. I hope something like this will be present.

Yes. Lot's of cool water stuff is super necessary. Fountains, underwater lights, bubble "generators" (to create effects on the surface), waterfalls, flowing water, realistic physics when items interact with the water (e.g. if the kraken comes up out of the water, it disturbs the water around it), water play areas for the kids, etc.

What's really exciting is after seeing everything Frontier has done so far, I'm confident they'll nail this one too.

I´d love to see flowing water in the game. It would be really cool to have a river run through your park.

And of course I´d like to have waterides with trackpieces that can be submerged in a custom body of water - for example watercoasters or slow boat rides going through a lake.

Ooo, that reminds me I'd love to see water storage lakes for rides like the flume and the river rapids as irl water rides like these have to have them for when the ride is closed. It would make building the rides a bit more of a challenge as well =)

I noticed in the 3/2/216 video, that they represented a wet surface very well.(next to the fountain). That made me excited.

I got far too excited about the way the wet surface looked. Seems so unimportant, but damn, this game looks beautiful.

Oh yeah. One more thing is prop items that float - with realistic physics. I'd love to build a dock by the shore of a lake I create and place down some small boats in the water next to it and have them bob around in the water.

Firts of all, I want to see water rides. Once they are in the game, they can do whatever they want with the water xD

I love these bits:

... water jets that could be placed into water to make a Jet/Foutain ... water falls and water features...
... flowing water ... a river run through your park... waterides with trackpieces that can be submerged in a custom body of water - for example watercoasters or slow boat rides going through a lake.

Enter the 'splash zones' =D That would be a nice addition.

PLUS: those watery fun areas that kids play in, with the 'pop' 'pop' water jets that randomly shoots water up. no idea what that's called.

Haha, well I think that works just fine =P It would be interesting to know if waterparks were going to be a thing at some point. If so I would love to see one of those climbing frame type thingys with water slides and a giant tipping bucket.

I too noticed that although the fountains are not actually spouting water. Water is something that is still in development and I doubt we might see this for the Early Release, although I might be wrong, as it was mentioned during one of the Q&A sessions that there might be at least one water ride. If so, this will probably be a log flume, but I think we might have to wait a bit longer before we see River Rapid Rides and Waterfalls.

I am hoping that we might get proper flowing water and waterfalls that can be made to tumble over rocks, rather that the flat sheet waterfalls of Rct3. To create water that can perform all these features, is not going to be easy to create, but I think if anyone can do it, Frontier can. We have so far been amazed with the quality of this game so far and there is no telling what we may see up to final release.

Frontier are just as passionate and enthusiastic as we are about this game and their aim is to produce the best possible game that they can give us. I have faith in all of the Dev Team, that they won't leave any stone unturned, because they really do appreciate our input and enthusiasm, and that we are 100% behind them all the way.
