Cobra skin

I like the skin. It's definitely priced to be ‘exclusive’ (i.e. not cheap), but I suspect I'll get it anyway.

I couldn't afford to fund the Kickstarter at the level I wanted, and it's been grating on me ever since. By buying this sort of item, I feel I'm getting closer to my intended amount now that I'm not counting pennies (or Euro cents, depending).

Personally I think all the skin prices should be about half what they are. Especially considering how little work they would be to create yourself. Some layers in photoshop, most of them reused.

Having said that, I don't mind FD making revenue this way. I bought a $3.50 skin for each of my ships to not have the most generic version.

I'd like them to eventually do something like War thunder with some simple user customization. Placing up to 4 decals with scale, rotation, flip and double sided options. It's a great way to let people be creative and have something unique despite a somewhat limited selection of media (though it has grown substantially). And you can submit skins to be put up for vote and inclusion in the game data.

Right now they have more important things to do. But I would love something like that.

I think they may be testing the market a little bit, seeing what our reaction is to different price points. Don't have a problem with them doing this, it's only vanity items and no one is forcing you to buy them.

For all the stuff I bought so far of course I got something back, but I also see it as a form of extended financial support.
So far I bought:
-Premium Beta
-2x sidewinders skins
-2x eagle skins
-2x t-shirt
-1x Viper skin pack.

But 13 Euro is way too much.

It's crafted as an iconic paint job, but I find it rather underwhelming : the white lines are not luminescent (or like an unlit wireframe). Otherwise I would have bought it.
Some kind of holographic white wireframe (with thick lines) on top of a (matte black) Cobra model would have been great. I would gladly pay 13€ for that kind of 'tribute'.

I disagree.
The only mistake they made was unveiling the skin before the pricing. It was probably a bit silly to let people get their eyes set on it before they knew if they were willing to pay for it or not. So, yeah, if you're upset because you had your hopes dashed, then I can understand being disappointed.

FD have been giving out cool freebies to early supporters, which we appreciate and shouldn't take for granted.

But, the wireframe skin for one ship should be just limited edition as stated, meaning that it is available for a limited period of time.

Instead, what is being offered is a premium skin, which as a result of price and time is going to be rare.

I don't know which ship is going to be my primary, so am going to let this opportunity pass until I answered that question first.

I find the moaning about it rather boring and repetitive. If you don't want to pay or it, that's your choice as much as it is mine to buy it.

As a premium beta backer, currently I have the same amount of "cool freebies" as a standard beta backer, I do not appreciate it nor do I support ship skins in any way ( Naturally, this is my opinion, if you have an issue with it, that is your opinion, please don't kill me for thinking for myself).

I said it already, ship skins are not okay, it'll only get worse.
