Certain Parts of the Park and Rides open at different time

So was curious if this may be an possible option. Some parked, at least used to, open certain parts of the park to help crowd control, or they open water rides say at 12pm vs at 9. Would be nice to see a management on time, maybe toward the end of the day instead of closing the entire park at one time you can start with the back of the park closing first helping usher guest out of the park in a more controlled mannor? And with right along that would be nice to have dinning areas open at certain time, say a Coffee shop open when the park does but the funnel cake stands etc open closer to 10 or so. Just an Idea.

Sounds good, perhaps if gates that you could snap onto fences would be added you could open a menu and set what time those gates open and close so that people can't access the area when it isn't open.

Exactly what I was thinking. [up]

I think it is a great idea but I think it will need something that makes it some more special.

So Maybe its a down the Road thing, but say if they add a water park/Soacked Edition that could be an area, or maybe an area of the park that has Water ride, or Maybe rides that have long que times that would extend past the park hours to make sure the riders get through but dont exceed the park hours. Or maybe certain effects on a ride olny opperate during certain times. Lot of water rides have waterfall effects that they turn on or off dependent on the temp, maybe something like that?

An other thought is that certain parks have areas of the park that are open prior to ride, ie Cedar Point allows people in the main midway area just before raptors. People can get strollers, guest relations, starbucks and so forth. Allows for revenue prior to rode opperation

I personally don't like this, unless it was almost real time, I don't think it will work, sorry!

Will the parks in PC actually close at night then? or will it be like RCT3 where it seems to be open 24/7 - the idea that the parks will actually close everyday and kick everyone out is amazing.... Im not sure how it will play like but i hope to see this aspect of management in the game - to bring a new side to park management [squeeeeee][squeeeeee][squeeeeee][squeeeeee]

Ya Would like to see hours were it actually closes. Can be a "Feature" you can turn on or off. It wont be everyones cup of tea, but for me I think it would be neat that during those closed our would be park inspections for Rides, this would help with ride reliability, and then you can Manage rides, store feature, or added promos or things. Just a thought

I'm with you on this. I'd love an option for real time (with an option to vary), with the park opening at 9 for new guests and closing at perhaps 10pm. Maintenance, new attractions etc could be done in the closed time for less impact on guests.
I really love the idea of seeing thousands of guests flooding the park at opening, heading for their favourite ride, or the big new attraction that you've built, and then everyone leaving at the end of the day, hopefully after a user-planned parade and firework display. ;-)

+1 It should certainly include weather, seasons and promotional holidays too. Also a way to test out how things affect your park over a year, a report that allows you to make adjustments to your opening and closings throughout the days, weeks, months and year, seasons and holidays.

Certain maps have different things affecting them, as it does it real life. Some theme parks are closed when it's bad weather, out of season etc, so closing the park to save money because lack off attendance shouldn't just be about 9AM-10PM, but it should depend on where the map is situated on the planet.

It could actually work well with revenues and budgets. Closing the park during certain periods (depending on your map of course) might be plug a leak in your fiancees, this happens in the real world, so I don't see why it shouldn't be included here too.

Don't really care so much for opening different sections at a time as I think there's more important features they can add. However, I always loved in RCT2 when you could open a new ride in a new area that you have blocked off, and all the guests would gather there going crazy until you connected a pathway to the new area, and then there'd be a mad rush for the new ride!!

As long as this still happens i'm happy ;)

Completely Agree. Most parks, when there is rain, typically close any ride that has wheel, brakes or boost. Would be nice to see an AI for that, have Lightening and all rides close. Then the Guest will have to go to indoor shows and or seek shelter. Weather plays a large element in any amusment park, so maybe there is Temperature, hoter it gets the more guest look for drink, and ice cream, vs that cup of coffee or something

Seeing as frontier are based in the UK where rides do not close in adverse weather only for lightening I doubt they will implement it. It would also be a pain to program and I'm not sure it would add much to the game.

From a playability standpoint it could be annoying rather than challenging. It's certainly annoying in real life.

Depends on how the time is running in the game. If the time is more real-time than in previous RCT, it could be great to be able to control operating hours of some areas and if the game has seasons (which I really hope so), it could be great to be able to control certain area opening period.

Kind of Cities Skylines areas where you can define operating hours or period, entering price, etc.

Again this is an Idea. Not everyone will like it, but this is a feature you can turn on and off.

The longer I'm thinking about it, the more I like it. But as widlan said it's dependable of the real time/game time ratio. It would not be very amusing if you had all your guests entering and leaving every 10 minutes or so. Imagine the first guests just arrived to the back of the park, and then you start closing that part so they have to leave even before the could enter that ride they were going to.

Yup I agree. I think it would need to be a setting in game mode were you can set it to a more real time day mode vs whatever the default timining will be.
