I wanted to write this in advance to the Alpha of Planet Coaster! Today, I'm going to talk to you about the difference between Amusement and Theme Parks!
Let's first talk about Amusement Parks
Amusement Parks, by definition from Merriam-Webster is,
A place that has many games and rides (such as roller coasters and merry-go-rounds) for entertainment.
This means that Amusement Parks are there soley for the purpose of Entertainment purposes.
Examples of Amusement Parks are as followed.
Kings Island
Cedar Point
Canada's Wonderland
Carowinds
Knott's Berry Farm
All Six Flags parks
Now let's talk about Theme Parks
Theme parks, by definition of Merriam-Webster is,
An amusement park where the rides and attractions are based on a particular theme.
This means that these kinds of Parks are designed with specific themes in mind.
Examples of these parks are really limited, but they do exist.
Disneyland/world
Universal Studios
I hope that clears confusions, and will also help you out with designing your Amusement/Theme Park in Planet Coaster!
