I was confused ppl talking about login with store credentials only.
Now I got the same experience on another computer. Acutally all the standard login items linked to the store login. Only when using the reply button w/o login I got the std forum login using my other ID. Link is here https://forums.frontier.co.uk/login/
Is this intentional by FrontierDev? Then it's utterly crap.
So request is to fix this asap. No way I ever will use my payment login for a forum!

Stigbob! Long time no see. I seem to recall you saying something about not playing in multi-player or something about not ever being in the community. I'd look up what you actually said for accuracy, but it's lost in a gazillion kickstarter comments.

I did take an extended pre-block open break as I was based around Lave and station ramming there took the proverbial around end of 2014 early 2015. Never left though, maybe you've had me on ignore for a few years

They'll return soon. There's some permissions not playing nice (read: sticky-permissions) with the private forums. All threads are still there.
I actually have moderators able to view all of the private forums, the another moderator unable to view any of it, and another moderator able to see a couple forums. It's a bit... weird.

Will check into the template code bits to see what and where can be changed to make it stick out a little more.Its a bit sad when the flat design is so minimalist that it is that easily ignored unless you hover over it...

Will pass this over to our online services team, sounds like you've uncovered a little bug with the accounts system. Sorry about that.
To be fair, it works using OAUTH.
That is, when you login to the store it generates a unique code which is then used to log you in to the forum. So the forum will never "know" your store login details.
It does, however, appear to be inconsistent depending on where/how you try to login. And even worse, I now appear to have multiple forum accounts instead of having linked my original forum account to the store login.
Teething problems for sure.
All things that should have been sorted out before they shoved us over from the old (read: working) forum to this pile of steaming manure.

When uploading a new avatar, you can click and drag it to where you want it displayed.
As for the animation issues, it's something we're working on.
I like.
I miss a few things though, mainly markers to clearly distinct threads and posts by staff/moderators and there is also no function to skip to the next staff post within a thread. At least I didn't find a button.
Rest is very nice. I love to be able to upload images directly now.
