3 values of Total Mass - what are they? :O

Does anyone know what those 3 Total Mass values are? There is no mention of that in the official Manual...

Well, everyone has stated what they think instead of looking into the read more. The answers come from reading up on the thrusters. So, I shall post that here for any future people looking for answers. Quotes are pulled right from the game.

Minimum Mass: "The mass at which the module will provide the highest boost to the ship's performance."
Optimal Mass: "The mass at which the module will provide either a boost or penalty to the ship's performance based on other attributes."
-Keep in mind Optimal mass is shown on your thruster, not at the bottom. At the bottom with the three, it is Minimum, Current, Maximum.
Maximum Mass: "The mass at which the module will provide the lowest performance. Ships heavier than this can not use this module."

Minimum and Current correlate with what else in on the ship but to make all this simple. Optimal is the center point, you get no positive or negative bonus' to your thrusters. As your mass leans towards Minimum you will get a buff, and when you lean towards Maximum you will get a debuff. Going below minimum will not grant you more and going above maximum will not move you at all. I believe this fully answers the question and I hope if any of this is wrong, people are willing to correct me.

Here is an example of my mine so far, You can see the thrusters Optimal is 1,800T's and I am at 1,959.2T's. So my thrusters are having to work more.

We actually answered the OP's question correctly. You'll note the OP wasn't asking what are min, max and optimal mass as relates to the ship's thrusters, but what the "TOTAL MASS" entries at the bottom mean. As was pointed out, only the last value relates to the thrusters.

All of this would be fixed if they simply added some text like they did with jump range, but sadly they have not.

You are correct, but I feel like simply stating what they are is not enough at times. Usually when people ask, "What is x?" Usually what follows is "What does x do?" or "Why does x matter?" or some such. So, if the question was, "Does anyone know what those 3 Total Mass values are?" You answered the first part, but then gave no explanation as to why that is important, about why it matters. Sure, the OP might have gotten their answer, but that doesn't mean other people did. So, I posted something that explained why it was important to know.

Saying Maximum Mass is the only of the three to relate to the thrusters is false as in the descriptions in the thrusters themselves state otherwise. Mass plays very little into many other things outside of maneuverability which is determined primarily by your thrusters. Minimum, Optimal, and Maximum are all defined specifically by your thrusters with minimum also changing depending on your current mass. Current mass is determined by everything, yes, but what does that mean? Simply knowing your current mass doesn't help if you don't know how it relates, and it relates the most with your thrusters and how they behave with your current mass. How you know that is determined, by the minimum, optimal, and maximum.

So I have a follow up question.

Your Thruster Display
Mass Bracket
Your Ship
900
Min / (?)
1704.3
1800
Optimial / Current
1959.2
2700
Max
2700

What would fill the unknown aspect in the table? Is it "current ship set-up carrying nothing; meaing no ammo, fuel, and all storage empty?

( I Have no idea how to edit width of the columns. sorry.)

In the "your ship" column, I believe the first number is the "empty" mass, with your current modules installed but with no fuel or cargo. Middle is current weight, with your current fuel and cargo; and the last, as others have stated, is the maximum weight you're allowed to go with your current thruster loadout.

So exactly what I thought when I said the current ship set-up with nothing in it, thank you. That 1704.3 figure wasn't explained and I wanted to be sure.

Seeing as this was answered YEARS AGO, what was the purpose of the necromancer who revived this corpse of a thread?
Blame Google.
What's the "unknown aspect" in the table?
The "?" I placed.
