Super powers and consquences

What I don't like is this casual game play, where everything is allowed without any consequences. For me it kinda disturbs the immersion. I can be a duke in the empire and an admiral at the Federation, and both super powers don't mind that, I can land at every station. Are they not afraid of spies?

I would suggest some kind of penalty, if someone goes with a super power and I also would appreciate, if a rank could be shown instead of Cmdr Name.
I would like more restriction and consquences is this game.

If I have to suggest how it should be done, then I would do that with the pledged galactic power
  • A commander can only receive reputation at a pledged galactic power
  • The reputation and rank at other powers will decrease
  • Some station of hostile powers will be restricted
  • More interdiction in hostile areas, less in friendly areas.
I would also like, if there would sometime galactic wars, where a super power fights another one, and then a player will be attacked by hostile NPCs, if he enters a hostile area.

Another thing at the ranks: It would be funny, if there would be something like in World of Warcraft classic, where the high ranks are limited. That only the a few people can receive the highest rank depending on there weekly power play. Not everyone can be a king.

For receiving a rank a commanders needs reputation like before, but for keeping the rank he needs the power play merits

Rank 12 (Duke) - 750 Merits
Rank 13 (Prince/Princess) - 1500 Merits
Rank 14 (King/Queen) - most 5% Merits of the playerbase

another thing I have noticed, when you enter a system aligned with another faction you see the words HOSTILE on the right of you screen.
at the moment being HOSTILE means nothing really and there seems to be no disadvantage in being HOSTILE, likewise there seems no benefit in not being HOSTILE.

Shouldn't you be attacked by system forces or other NPCs aligned with other super powers.
if your ship is scanned by while docking at a station by stations security, and the station controlling faction is aligned to an enemy power. Docking privileges should be revoked and you get 10-20 seconds to get the hell out of there. Security ships should chase etc.

if scanner by a faction ship aligned within another superpower, who isn't the controlling faction of a station, they should follow you hope you leave the no-fire zone. once outside they should attack

it should be dangerous to visit a HOSTILE system.

It would be nice to have another colour of ship on your scanner also, maybe pink for fellow aligned ships. hostile or ships supporting other super powers should appear in red.

Guess there is truce at the moment, that's why hostile means nothing. But it would be nice, if there would be sometimes war or some kind of events, that it would change it. So yes, "Hostile" is the wrong term here, it should be "neutral" xD

Most of this is cold war, they may be hostile but don't start shooting.
But consequences could be
  • higher prices for fuel, repair and so on.
  • lower rewards for missions.
  • more privateers attacking you (pirates with a cause).

My other suggestion would be that the weapons and so on are available in more sizes but using them after you leave a faction makes you a target should they scan you.

Fuel prices are so low, you would have to increase them by times 1000 :D But repairs, yes, with ships like Cutter it would hurt, at least me. That privateer thing would be nice as well, but it should be also notcieable, why they approach. Something like a dialog, where they mention, that the player is in a hostile faction.
