I took a long drive from Dav's Hope today in the hope of finding some raw materials. Imagine my suprise when I came across this:

I ran into a few of these too:



As I explored further, finding a few limps of polonium along the way - wahoo! - I found, to my dismay, it wasn't quite what I expected... just a coincideentally shaped mountainette.

np -everyone sees everything first for themselves :) Just pointing out that the impact craters are pretty similar to IRL ones, and yes, there are quite a few :)

(Doing a SRV planetary circumnavigation at the moment, I think I've now seen everything on this planet :D )

I just read your link, Factablulous - really interesting. So, what I in fact saw was a "complex crater" with an uplifted centre due to the modification and collapse of an large impact. The more I play this game, the more I appreciate just how much hard science and facts have been implemented.

Not sure, it might be the core of a pyramid where someone robbed away all the dressed stones.

Of course it could be an eroded docking point for a similarly shaped spaceship.

it is amazing how much hard science went into the physical universe and how much slapdashery went into the background sim. :p

The first one is about space. The second one about humans and how they behave. ponder All in all, I guess the BGS actually would need an extra dosis of crazy to become a bit more realistic... :D ;)
