You'll need to spend the first 20 minutes reconfiguring your joystick and binding all the key commands again.

Also if you use neutron stars, check the galmap has nose cone ticked as mine had become unticked.

As noted, biggest change is in exploration - with FSS now the tool to claim first dibs on a planet - believe I'm correct in thinking that DSS now gets you dibs on an undiscovered star, no need to target. Oh yes and two separate HUD's, one for combat (the default - yellow) and one for exploration - blue so you need to assign a key to switch between the two.
