Am I understanding this correctly ? I have an issue with missing system data, first mapped/scanned systems no longer have my tag and my codex first discovered has no vanished also. So do I now have to put in a report and hope that others upvote my issue to see if I can get my data back ?

Support tickets are still the way to go for non-bug-reporting. So any issues you have, raise a ticket and the amazingly helpful people on there will sort you out. They fixed the missing Mercenary Edition stuff within a day for example.
