So I build a mining rig, head to a ring find a lovely fissured asteroid blow it up with zero problems, blast all the alexandrite off it deploy my collector limpets and nip to the toilet and come back to have no alexandrite no bits and two limpets.

If you fly 1000ly out of the bubble to find a pristine ring and start blowing it up make sure you take your refinery too....

Limpets? I went out once in my 'mining' ship a few months back, having forgotten that I'd removed the mining gear for a CG a couple of weeks previously, but I did have limpets...

I once built a new ship then travelled thousands of light years to check out a specific body, landed, hit the deploy SRV menu and.....no SRV, boy did I feel silly!

Yea, I usually forget the limpets. But I also did something stupidly different

Here is me planning to go from A to B, a rather long-ish trip.
Along the way I decided to take a shortcut so I flung by a neutron star so shave a few jumps.
And spend 2 minutes in the cone wondering what is goin on and why my fsd is not charging, only to realize that the night before I decided that it will be a faster trip if I fit an extra Fuel Tank instead of the Fuel Scoop.

The moment it hits you is rather priceless
