Super duper ninja death machines on missions, WTH!!

So I decided to give this disaster of a game another game ago. Don't get me wrong, this game has tons of potential, but that is another story, but it is still a disaster and suffers from some seriously bad game design.

So anyway, I take one mission, just one mission to earn so credits to upgrade my T-9, but the problem is every time I log on, I get a super death ninja instant killer that I have chance of defeating, every time I log in, they are in super cruise ready to interdict me, that I have no chance of escaping, because it is rigged. I can't drop out of super cruise, as it will destroy me in seconds, even before the boys in blue get a chance to come and rescue me...... But they can't because they are up against super death machine, every time I do escape it turns up in super cruise and so on.

So my question is, what complete and utter numpty decided to add this a game mechanic? Seriously, if you escape a ship at some point they would give up? If this is a bug, why has it not been fixed?

How God awful and frustrating does this game have to get, before Fdev wake the hell up and sort this mess out.

Why the hell have I got a broken as hell death machine Anaconda after me for some God damn emergency tents.... TEEEENTS, ^£^&£&£ $£"^&£%&£% TEEEEENTS...

The best way is to learn to evade the Interdictions.

Even a T9 can in >95% of all cases win the Interdiction Minigame once you understand how it works.
After that point, combat against Mission Targets becomes mostly Optional.

As Mission Target NPCs are semi-persistent, escaping them in one System will still have them pop up again.
But defeating the Interdiction attempt typically means they won't show up within that very System again.

Maybe fit your Type-9 like this. Then you have a chance to run away or even kill the mission pirate with the help of system security. Just 4 pips to shields, two to weapons and vaguely point your cow in the direction of the enemy.

Some general advice:

Learn how to evade interdictions. Evading interdictions starts by not flying straight to your destination. Fly out of the orbital plane, which not only is quicker, but means that you can more easily spot the NPC that is pursuing you. When you see him, select him so that you can see where he is and how he's maneuvering, and keep him out of your six. Should he get a interdiction tether on you, practice your evasion skills

Never throttle down to arrive at your destination. Perform a "loop of knowing what you're doing" instead, ideally as part of your gravity braking maneuver. Get as close to the planet as possible, to maximize your deceleration. Not only does it get you to your destination faster, but it also greatly reduces the amount of time you spend travelling slowly in a straight line, making it easy for NPCs to interdict you.

In the unlikely event that he is actually successful, do not run away! Running away means that you're in his firing arc and traveling in a way that makes it easy to hit you. Your goal is to evade fire until you FSD cools down enough to jump out. Try to remain in his six so he can't shoot you at all, and if you can't boost at him to reduce your window of vulnerability.

Sacrifice a bit of jump range, and make sure you've got good engines, a power distributor that allows you to boost frequently, and a Power Plant sufficient to keep everything running. That makes maneuvering to stay out of his firing arc much easier.

Sacrifice 64 tons of cargo capacity, and a bit of jump range, and install 7A shields with boosters to protect your ship. In the unlikely event of him actually landing a shot, it'll help protect your ship, and what it's carrying.

Sacrifice a bit of jump range, and armor up that Type-9. Again, the idea is to protect your ship and its cargo. Taking 45 seconds longer to reach your destinationis better than not reaching your destination at all.

Well, I need to earn teh credits to equip my T-9 like that... And as for evading interdicts, I can 99% of the time, but these super duper death machines just can't be beaten.

I managed to survive the last one with 1% hull remaining.

The other thing is, you are after money to upgrade your ship, the best paying missions are the hardest missions and will send the most dangerous NPC's against you, so maybe a couple of lower ranked missions that pay less and won't send uber death machines to kill you.

Yeah, downgrade to something smaller and more meaningful. Jumping back into the game with one of the biggest ships there is and taking heavy duty missions is a great way to get frustrated very quickly.

How long has it been since you've played?

The question is why is a super death ninja instant killer Anaconda after you?

You're right. What FD should do immediately is give you a mission with a hundred squillion credit reward, that guarantees nobody will come after you. In fact, why even bother with a mission? I demand that OP is given a 'press X for free money' button immediately.

Umm.. I didn't want that and I don't want that, it's silly and game breaking. And what you have done is highlighted everything that is wrong with this forum. That sarcastic know it all attitude that you think that you know what I am after. You automatically think I want maximum reward for minimum effort, I don't, I want a balanced. coherent game that makes sense.

When I a transporting nothing items, you shouldn't get death machines after you, you get the death machines when you are carrying 720 tons of Musgravite, not tents or other stupid items.

I would like hire escort ships, crews to man my ship, positive and negative money sinks to spend the cash on...

I want this game to make sense and be coherent, I want to feel the lore in game, not read it on Galnet.

The arrogance of your post is astonishing.

Why do you repeat your mistake?
There are no such superdeath machines in the game, or you are the only one encountering them.
If you are unable to escape interdiction, and from your rant I understand that you are, then do different missions in a different ship, in stead of repeating what you obviously can't do.
Be smart about it. Park the T9, or sell it, and use a more able vessel to do other missions. Or at least do not take high risk missions. Avoid these mission types. They are not for you, as you have experienced yourself.

No, you made it pretty clear. You wanted the fastest route to riches that you could find, and have completely dismissed the risks involved. And then you threw a tantrum because the risks were there. You could've taken a different mission, more smaller missions, a different ship, whatever, there are countless ways to approach this.

You made it very clear in your first post that you wanted to take just one mission to get rich and improve your ship. Which was your choice. You chose maximum risk for maximum reward: fair enough. You now need to either make a different choice, or acknowledge the risk.

Arguing that there shouldn't be risk with tents is nonsense. If that was the case, there wouldn't be large reward either. You can't have it both ways.

Oh, and don't try and change the subject by going on about lore, as if the longstanding (and widely discussed in other threads) concerns about how much of the lore is happening inaccessibly in the background somehow validate your stated desire to get rich off one mission.

Yes. Definitely. I want those things too. That is a different topic though.
FDev still has a lot of work to do for sure.

No I made it clear, that I took "just one mission to earn some credits"... I never mentioned it was a massive a payout, just that I was just doing one mission.... As some times I can take more than one mission to the same destination.

Once again you are assuming.

Damn, came to the thread to find where to get the challenging NPCs, but it was just another "I need to L2P, it must be the game's fault fault". 0/10, would not buy again
Been playing since the original beta... Just had a break that's all.

More assumptions.
