Hi all! I was thinking the addition of a unique type of size 6 fighter hangar module would greatly enhance gameplay.
The Custom Fighter Hangar would only be capable of holding one type of fighter... But it would be a CQC fighter of the pilot's choice.
Like the normal fighter bay, the fighter type (Sidey, Eagle, Taipan, Imp, etc.) would be chosen in Outfitting, but the actual internals of the fighter would be able to be modified on the go under the Crew interface, based on the pilot's CQC module unlocks.
This not only would bring the Sidey and Eagle fighter variants into the main game, but make the module unlocks of CQC useful, and enable pilots to modify fighters per-mission on the fly. These benefits would be balanced by the inability to equip more than one fighter type to the custom fighter hangar.
