Todays update is messing with assasination missions please fix this

After todays update I've found it pretty much impossible to do assasination missions because my targets are now high waking away before I can finish them off. Before this pretty much never happened but it just happened 7x in a row leading me to abandon those missions plus 6 others I figured were now hopeless. My maxed out vette has twin huge oc mcs that usually shred everybody but these dudes are now skipping out between 50-75% hull damage. I'd have to knock my shield down from 4,300 to 3,500 or something to carry a wake scanner and frankly dont feel like jumping around chasing people. Even with g5 dirties my vette isn't chasing down fleeing elite fdls I've tried and it ain't happening.

Doing wing missions solo especially stacking lots of them is enough of a challenge and was my last way to get g5s reliably. But now unless I just had a freakish run of bad luck it appears fdev has for whatever asanine reason decided to nerf even this way of getting g5 mats. I got every ship in the game and done so much maybe it's time to move on since these guys seem to want to nerf mat gathering into further oblivion.

Stuff has clearly been changed unless I've just massacred so many elite npc pirates that the rest are now afraid of me lol. Doubt the AI is that good though so probably not.

Funnily enough the other day I was reading a thread where a CMDR was asking that NPC's should take more notice of the CMDRS setup when deciding whether to engage in combat or not, maybe they slipped this in by stealth, trying removing your weapons and see if they still run :)
 
I can always throw some of those on the large hardpoint that rarely sees use as it is but would take a month to unlock. What gets me is I do these missions all the time probably killed 100x targets in the last week in the 2.5mil cr range and most were wing missions. I've been slaughtering them over and over again but now suddenly today my targets have all started fleeing when their shields dropped. Before they'd stay and duke it out but now they just run right away.
 
Lol varonica I hope that's not the case itd be kinda hard to kill pirate lords and terrorists without weapons. With a 4k shield and a handful of shield cell banks I suppose I could try ramming them to death :)

I just hope we aren't expected to chase targets around like whackamoles because that would be neither fun or entertaining gameplay. I'll pick up new missions and give it another go later hopefully these missions are not broken now. I have like 30 ships to engineer so I need the g5 mats I get from these cause signal chasing is boring af.
 
Feels like they increased it a lot hopefully pirates stay and fight in a hazres as that might be the only way to get mats now. I can't do runs at davs hope anymore...after hundreds of runs I just can't anymore. I get a nervous tick just thinking about that place now lol.
 
They seemed to be darting around more and quick to escape from what I've seen haven't been rammed yet. With premium ammo my vette can deal a sustained dps just shy of 200 so I just need them to stay for a second or 2 but they are boosting and high waking out immediately. I wish they would ram me and get locked onto the nose of my ship so my twin 4a mcs could shred em. Ftr these were all fdls most were elite. This happened when I went to the mission signals and when I ganked them in other places they ran each time.
