Any comment from FDev on the latest update yet?

I can't see anything on this forum but I don't really do twitbook so I dunno if they've been active there.

Has there been any acknowledgement of the issues this update has created yet?

I've been revising my mining ships and I'd like to test them but I can't until it's possible to buy limpets again.

Buying limpets seems to be broken in my Krait miner but is working in my T10.

Agreed. Silence is deafening. And now they've b0rked the issue tracker...

Awww, this is getting nuts.

If I try to restock my limpets in my Krait Mk2 mining ship I get a "server error" message, similar to what I get if I click on "restock" in the main menu.
I just transferred my T10 Miner to LHS 20, tried to buy limpets and... it works fine.
Back to my Krait; "server error".

Dunno if it's just a coincidence but all the ships where I've played around with the new slot/s have ended-up broken in some way. :unsure:

One of the staff popped into my "Bugs Galore" post and asked us to send them via Issue Tracker, which I did, and would again except now, Issue Tracker is broken.

I've not tried anything in the new slots and everything's been running fine. The only bug I've seen is the 10cr restock all issue (staying well away from that button- I've already learned that nothing good comes from touching broken things in ED).

Thanks for the warning though, maybe if I leave my ships alone and carry on playing as I did pre-update all will be well.

I am now using a different ship for that purpose.

  • Swap to Python.
  • Buy 128t of limpets.
  • Swap to mining Krait.
  • Go mining.

Simples!

The only problem I foresee is that I'm going to need to build a cheap ship with 128t of cargo space and then transfer it around the bubble so I can use it to buy limpets for the Krait.

It's kind of like being 16 again and having to get my cousin to go and buy booze for me. :rolleyes:

I've been here since the pre-release Beta-Backer days and FD ALWAYS manage to introduce stuff but not test it properly or they manage to break existing stuff. Nothing changes, they don't seem to learn and they just stoke user frustration for fun (it seems). YMMV, but its been my consistent experience from day 1. Not one release has FAILED in its clear (unwritten) objective to screw-up badly.

Kind'a reminds me of the way my 4 kids (and now my grandkids) test my boundaries...

I personally love all the new bugs introduced in every update. It is, as always, an opportunity to find the next massive gold rush. There are going to be so many awesome youtube videos...

It's also very entertaining watching people's heads explode in the forums. To me, it is a brilliant bonus to the game that I had not anticipated.
