Reminds me of a story of a wife parking the car in an underground parking complex. Returns and finds the car gone. Has to tell the angry husband of her misfortune. They report it stolen and eventually gets a new car from the insurance. A few months later the parking complex contacts the couple and asks when they plan to get their car. Turns out that the wife forgot where she parked the original car and looked in the wrong section.

The unlucky CMDR just forgot which station he landed his ship in.
