I like the trading changes with one exception. If I want to fill my cargo hold I have to keep pressing on the '+' button which slowly adds one at a time to the number I want to buy which if over 20 takes forever! If I want to fill my cargo hold with one commodity it takes up to 5 mins to fill it!Previously if you kept your mouse button pressed the number accelerated until you got to the max available space in the cargo hold. Please dev's can you revert or provide a facility to add or sell faster please? Is there a way to do this in the latest release I can't see it!

They have already indicated this was not an intended change and will be fixed in an update within a week or two.

Temporary workaround is use the keyboard as it is significantly faster than mouse (still slower than before, but faster then mouse by a large margin)

OK but which key works to add or remove cargo on the keyboard. I can select the cargo with my keys but can't add or reduce the number to buy or sell?
I select the commodity as normal by scrolling and clicking with the mouse. When the transactions box opens I click on the + (which highlights that element) and then use the POV (or A / D key) to select the actual number. Then POV down (or S key) to the buy element and then space / fire to select. (Same process for the sell page.) Presumably the mouse can be eliminated completely but I have not bothered to try.
EDIT - Just checked without using mouse at all - Open Commodities market - POV Down or S key to change from Buy to Sell (etc) - POV right or D key to move highlight into the commodities list - POV Up and Down (W or S) to move highlight - Space / Fire (Joy1) to select commodity - D and A changes amount - S move highlight to BUY (or further to Cancel and Less Info) - space to select Buy.

I have not traded since the patch because of this glitch....but if what you say is possible, it changes everything. PLEASE reply!
Get an amount to transfer one way or the other, (double?) click the transfer amount shown in the control, enter the value.

Ack, I could have sworn I tried that when I was brand new and it didn't work, but I think I only single clicked and then figured it wasn't a game feature. Fantastic news that it is possible!
I just opened the commodities market for the first time since the patch...really loving the redesign. FILTERS!! Those were in my top 10 wish list, particularly a filter for "just what I have". So was seperate buy and sell tabs. Getting those made my day...your information made my month! Maybe next month even.

DOH! Thanks for telling me before I ever tried it out...I'd have been more disappointed. I have X4 but have yet to play it....
I'm still happy with the filters and other improvements to the Commodities market.
