PvP Gankers in Fleetcomm at Beagle Point

I can't understand the mentality of someone that would fly all of the way to beagle point in order to kill explorers.

But you can understand the mentality of those who would fly there to take selfies?

Also, 'all the way' to Beagle Point isn't exactly a strenuous journey for a bunch of Kraits in the current incarnation of the game.

well ive only just set off... So by the time i get there...
Oh wait, nope, my frame rate absolutely sucks. Guess ill be waiting for the next patch.

Are you on PC?

At times I do despair of this game, must be some pretty sick, small minded individuals who would travel 65 KLY probably taking 2 - 3 weeks in real time to spoil the fun of those who enjoy the game in a normal way.

And shame on Braben and the rest of the developers for allowing the game to include this mechanic and doing precious little to stop the process other than sitting on their hands and chuckling at the misfortune of others. The misfortune will be theirs when people stop buying their add-ons or a new version and go play elsewhere. This isn't emergent gameplay, it's psychotic and un-necessary behaviour. The culprits should be named, shamed, their Frontier accounts cancelled, IP blocked and as the ultimate sanction also have their Steam account deleted - now that would be a real deterrent.

I've drained the salt cellar on this as there, but for the grace of common sense, I could have gone. Although not part of the DW expedition I was in BP and Isham's a couple of days ago after a productive and at times interesting 8 week journey up the western rim. I contemplated breaking cover into Open to say "Hi" to any commanders who might be about and shoot the breeze for a bit, on the basis we would all be friends up here. How glad I am, I decided to remain in Solo...

In real life they must be sad, lonely little individuals, sitting in their bedrooms with no friends and dividing their time between watching computer pron (not much longer in the UK!) and seal clubbing defenceless players in a computer game.

Did typing that make you feel better about yourself?

Go on, be honest.

Doing it at Beagle Point is ok.
Doing it in Fleetcom/Mobius/any other PG is just ****olish behaviour.
And I'm saying that as someone who has no problem with ganking, PvP or PGs.

I'm from Beagle Point and I say ban them all ;)
So it's okey, to kill Solome, and effect one of the best events this game ever had, but the Explorers are the holy ground?
It's called Elite Dangerous, not Elite Snowflake.
Space is Dangerous place, don't fly anywhere and with anyone you are not ready to lose.

I just reached Beagle Point and the chat is full of messages that says to avoid Open AND Fleetcomm because there are gankers killing explorers... Now for Open this is well expected... but in Fleetcomm too?? To avoid issues I immediately switched to Solo, 'cause I don't care a lot of multiplayer and I want to be safe... so just for confirmation, does anyone have seen gankers in Fleetcomm?

Hilarious.

Fleetcomm ganking, not so hilarious. Pretty lame, in fact.

I can't understand the mentality of someone who would kill explorers.

Oh, this again. It is so much fun. I once killed an exploder just by interdicting them, they were shieldless at 22% hull and I thought they had some HRPs, flying in open and all. I was wrong and they exploded. I laughed for a good minute or so, totally worth the thousands of jumps to get to Sagittarius A* in a fully armed pre-engineers corvette :)

Yes, killing Salomé was ok. I watched the video of the event yesterday (from the perspective of one of my squadron mates, who was winged up with Salomé).
Legit gameplay.
Explorers are no holy ground. I was at Explorers Anchorage in open, couldn't be killed by DG2.
Legit gameplay.

Private Groups on the other hand ARE holy ground (in my opinion, and FD's too seeing they reimburse all players who get ganked in one).
PG is Elite Snowflake, if you want to call it that way, and that is perfectly ok. It's not on you to decide how other people spend their free time.

Exactly, you got point here. Unfortunately Frontier sux here making possible to undermine BGS or restoring ships/mats/data for salty boiz with very questionable background.
That's why some infiltrate PGs. I do not behave like that and do not support, that's just how I see it after discussion with those who sneek in.

If they played in Offline mode, than it's fine, they can do what ever they want. But when you are a part of online world, to set up special rules for individuals, that's cheating, no matter how you look at it.
