Constant message missions

Is anyone else annoyed about the flood of "Salvage this" and "deliver that" in their mailbox?
I log in, there is at least 1 in there.
I am mining some engineering mats: 2 pop up (salvage some stuff - didn't read - delete). 3 minutes later, another 2 messages pop up (salvage some stuff - didn't read - delete), another 5 minutes later, I get 2 more.
Any chance of opting out of these?
For 1: I'm obviously busy doing something
2: The pay is lousy
3: Why should or would I care?

Anyone else got this impression?

Annoyed? No, not that angry about it but they are a slight irritant when you're busy doing something else. Moreso because it always seems to me that as soon as I delete the message the exact same message pops up again. I usually just delete the message but now I select the cross/reject mission marker at the bottom of the message. I just wish i could say with certainty that this actually stops the message popping back up.

I wish. I got 5 messages within 15 minutes while doing surface mining.
While Opal mining, I am getting about the same amount in the same time frame, less when I am ferrying biowaste.
Interesting. Like everyone else I ignore them. Might be worth a ticket about the frequency, with a P.S. that they are pointless.

The messages slashed through the soothing emptiness of space last night, it did not let me mine in peace! The messages are very annoying and far from being relevant to what i'm doing at the time of the message.

If that suggested a mission relevant to mining when i'm busy at a ring for example, like bring x amount of y to this station sort of thing, even the pay is lousy, i might still consider it.

Why in god's name should i smuggle imperial slaves right now? What gave you the impression that i would be interested? o_O

I'd like to see them do something about the spam of messages in general.
take a mission-spam message "you took this mission go find your target"
fly to system-spam message "oh, you have a mission here go to the nav beacon"
find nav beacon-spam message" you scanned the beacon go over there"
go to mission location in system-spam message" you found the location"
scan/shoot/pickup-spam message" you did it, come back to station"

a delete all, acknowledge all messages would be useful. or maybe just a system message in the comms panel would be good, do we really need 10 persistent messages per mission? Or maybe we could have a transmission via radio transmission that also displays in the comms window, I've also wondered about that when we're getting NPC messages from pirates and such. Don't we have radio technology in 3305?

Regarding OP, the more frustrating part is that they pop up even after you delete them. I delete them and then literally a minute later they pop up again. Just for "fun", I deleted them over a dozen times and they continued to pop up. Eventually, they expired, but it is annoying.

EDIT- I should clarify that they are the same missions popping up, not new ones.

Yep, noticed that too. I haven't read the details, but it's the same header/category.

And the payout is really aweful. At least give me a good incentive to stop what I'm doing and do that. No, "personal narrative" won't cut the mustard here. Especially not when mining VOpals. You finally found a good field, start mining, and now I should stop doing that to fetch the salvage of someone for 120k. No thanks. Find someone else for that job.

I wouldn't mind them if the rewards were not so poor.
Exactly. Someone takes the time to message us personally with a special mission and they do not offer more (in fact, they offer less) than what you typically find on the mission board? I think that's really odd.

It's the kind of thing, given the reward, that should only show up in newer commander's inboxes. They'd still need to increase the rewards in that scenario, however, they are that paltry.
