What other games are we all playing?

My Friend got my City Skylines months ago and I have yet to touch it. Think the main reason is I would spend way too much time just downloading and being so OCD with everything that I'd be too consumed with it creating that I'd never get around to actually playing it...

So true. I was so particular about getting all these distances perfect and symmetrical it drove me off many times over the years. My most recent comeback I let all my niggling ocd urges go and I'm just going willy nilly and its the most fun I've had with it. No dlcs just the base game. I highly recommend it. Its the game I always hoped Sim City would turn into.

Damn I loved Sim 2000. I know there is some of the DLC's I'd like for sure. Just hoping it won't turn into another Eurotruck paying a ton in the long run with all the extra DLC's. If I did finally start it, I'm sure I'd forget how to play ED when I eventually got back to it...

There aren't that many DLCs, but there are many mods. Some are quite awesome.
The only thing I really don't like is that as you build the city manager slowly transforms into traffic manager. It annoys me to a point where I stopped building big cities and prefer building small towns and villages all over the map.

There is a city development engineer posting ytoob vids to fix traffic jams. I seen analysis of crossings , overpasses and all. I think he plays submitted save games in a "fix my game" series.

Yep. Actually it was watching his videos what taught me how to plan the city, where to focus industries, how to manage lanes, etc. :)

I just realized Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion got some dlc I didn't realize it had (New to me, I don't know how long its been out).. Its minor but cool. Gave me a reason to fire it up and get sucked in all over again. Its so intense between pirates and ai it never lets up.

Largely due to the ridiculous amount of time I've invested in playing ED over the years I have a truly massive backlog of fantastic games that I've hardly scratched the surface of. Several that have been clamoring for attention as of late are EUIV/HOIIV/Battletech/Stellaris.

I got fed up again with all the bugs in ED and bought Red Dead Redemption 2 this week.
I'm loving it!!!! Fantastic world, very immersive and looking spectacular in 4k, I should've bought this much sooner.
This will keep me busy for quite some time.

Also added Sudden Strike 4 to my backlog, it was on sale on the Xbox.

Just found out Battletech has now career mode, no more worrying about repeating the campaign missions. I like that.

I love ED and play it a lot, but other games I also play regularly are:

No Man’s Sky (XB & PS)
RDR2 (XB)
Surviving Mars (XB)
Ark Survival (XB & PS)

I love the game, but don't love how the AI can team up against you with coordinated attacks, but you cannot do the same with your AI allies.

I am completely taken in again by Ghost recon: Wildlands.
I had not played it in a while and then discovered that Ubisoft added a permadeath mode.

I can't stop playing it (solo mode only).
It is extremely exciting, because every mistake potentially means you lose all progress and have to start from zero again.
I have died quite a few times, because after 8 hours of playing, I tend to get careless and inevitably start taking too much risk.

Wildlands is such a fun shooter. It has very good game and progression systems, a beautiful open world, and numerous exquisitely modeled weapons and gadgets and vehicles. The gunplay is awesome and empowering, but on high difficulty setting a single bullet could kill you instantly.

I wish Elite Dangerous would eventually get FPS game play mechanics like this. The gun play and game mechanics of Wildlands combined with the spaceships and endless Galaxy of Elite would ensure that I would never need to play another game again.
