I like jousting too. Unfortunately, most of my opponents avoid it with me and they end up orbiting around me. My reaction is the FAoff maneuver to keep them in my sights, which works for the most part, but its not jousting. I dont know what to call it, orbiting-counter orbiting?

Yeah some maneuvers in this game you don't even have words to describe. You just "Wing" it

Okay so my habit of targeting the FSD with frags isn't worthless then.
I'm hulltanked so hard my fighting style tends to be kinda brawling or wrestling.

The only antidote to jousting that works for me is reversing until they notice and start reversing away as well.
Also if I'm concentrating staying throttle in the blue and not boosting unless they are running helps keep the separation minimal.

Not entirely sure what the goal of the other guy was. I watched the low res stream, so could be my eyes but did he actually even try shooting at you? He seemed intent on ramming, at least that was my take.

Anyway well done, notch one of for the good guys, or rather the not so evil guys.

Edit 2: I like 'whirlybirding', if only because (a) it's a fun term, and (b) it's reminded me of an old TV show I used to watch when I was a wee'un.

Replicant, when I finally get a PC I'll show you how a real "bad guy" pvper fights, and it'll be to the death. Even if I lose it would be an honor to die to a player of your caliber.
