Where and in what universe, except ED, does anyone salute left handed.

You actually can't tell which direction the "o" is facing... Personally, I think that the lack of facial features means he is looking away from the reader, hence a right handed salute.

...

But then, saluting while looking in the opposite direction is weird too.

I don't really play ED much these days, but I keep the o7 spirit alive and well in ESO. The guild I'm in already reciprocates as such when I post o7 in the guild channel everyday.

SO we have this weird way of saying "Hi" to fellow Commanders .... I'm referring to the good ole "o7". It's the salute .... right? A head with an arm holding its hand to it's forehead ... right?

OR is it someone saying "Yeah, I saw him, he was THIS tall!" .... think about where the hand is in relation to the head ----> o7 ... you've been typing the lower case letter "O", haven't you?
To demonstrate what I mean ....
Lowercase "O" ---> o7
Uppercase "O" ---> O7
Numerical zero ---> 07

So, which type of salute are you?

P.S. This is just for fun, type it anyway you want to. It just amuses me that so many type it with the lowercase "O".

I'm usually an 'o7' person... Until I accidentally miss type - that tends me towards 'O7' (I seem to like the shift key).
I'm tempted to start using 07 now though, just for variety.
