Hi folks, I've been trying out the flight assist module on Distant Worlds.
I wanted to see how it could help me in the game. What I found is that it was really useful if you don't mind that it takes a lot longer to get to a planetary body in question.
I really liked it! Thanks for including it.
Thanks to it's ability to automatically orbit a planet that it arrives at, I have been able to use the flight assist module to create stitched maps of planets.
It becomes easier to do this now. So Thank you dev team who built this!
Now with that said, these are some suggestions I had.
The one thing I've noticed it doesn't do is orbit stars. I would have loved to watch the gravitational lensing of a black hole while automatically orbiting it. Is there a game balancing reason why this wasn't implemented?
I've also heard that it doesn't do too well on ... i believe non-sequence stars like L and N types. mostly because their exclusion zone is rather massive.
