Astronomy / Space NASA Accidentally Destroys NYC In Attempt To Save Denver (Thankfully It Was Just A Simulation)

With the books, the movies, the scientific reports, the predictions of the prophets ect ... we catch the devil by the tail and we will attract a catastrophe.

Sigh. I'm still kind of hoping for some nice toasty humanity-wiping catastrophe to happen.
But if it doesn't happen soon, we're really going to learn to avert them, which is depressing.

End of the world? hmmm, you might like this one.
PS: That's my voice ;)

(This song is all about unity and how us humans just can't work together)

The nihilism is strong in this thread. I always say to people who express views such as Chris did near the top of the thread: you first, buddy!

Aren't they meant to destroy Seattle? I mean almost all disaster movies kill Seattle first...
I think the reason for it being either Seattle or Detroit so often is that they are relatively big cities that everybody know, yet at the same time kind of insignificant that they can represent "them" (e.g. "yes, it's a big tragedy that I can relate to but not feel too threatened myself at the same time" )

Oh, believe me, I wouldn't hesitate. ;)
Wait wait wait, so you're saying when the big continent busting asteroid comes along if there's any forewarning you'll relocate to be in its path with a catchers mitt? If that were true you wouldn't need an asteroid to get 'er done.
