Pinned Blueprints frustration

I just experienced a new frustration with the blueprint pin system (besides that they sometimes just come unpinned while away from the engineer for no reason; often minutes after I leave...)

I went to Hera Tani for to finish off a G5 and pin the blueprint.
(I have Marco pinned with armored, and this trip was to finish and pin Overcharged)

So I do the thing. Finish the G5 and pin it. Then I go back to where my other ships are, swap to another one that has Overcharged in order to finish it remote, but it's not there. On another ship I find that overcharged seems to be only available in grade 5, but not 1-4.

What is that about? Shouldn't it be pinned for all 5 grades?

Blueprints coming unpinned or the pin not "sticking" is a known bug, I read in these forums to always check to be sure a blueprint is actuallly pinned by logging out and back in while still at the engineer, then check. So far it's happened twice that I pin it, but it's not showing pinned once I relog and I have to pin it again.

Haven't (yet) had one come unpinned after doing the above, but have seen reports of other people having the issue.

No idea what you're talking about with the G5 but not 1-4...the interface to apply G5 has 1-4 on it, so I can't even fathom how you could have that issue. Maybe a screenshot to show us what you mean?

I have had issues where my remote engineering won't show up for modules which I already have engineered to G5, even if what I engineered was something different. I have to clear them of that other engineering before it lets me use the remote on them.

Hard to tell exactly what you're talking about, but if you gave OC pinned from Hera Tani and are G5 with her, you should be able to remote engineer any PP of any size G1 to G5.

All I can think of, assuming it is actually pinned and not working on some modules, is that those modules have legacy engineering on them.

I'll make some screen caps next time I log on, I guess.

What I did to discover it was upon arriving at the remote station with all my ships I switch to another ship that was at partial G5 and could finish it. The remote workshop showed the blueprint and completed the G5.
Then I switched to a third ship that had a different mod and found that Overcharged wasn't available for that ship. So with this pin I was only able to do G5 mods.

I just logged back in to check this out and I find that Hera Tani has no pinned blueprint now....

And Marco Quent has Armored power plant, but only G1-G4 .

So now I'm thinking... we can pin one per engineer, right? Is there a 1 blueprint per module restriction? Did I break the game by leaving Marco on Armored and setting Hera to Overcharged?

It seems like by setting her to Overcharged that somehow took the place of G5 Armored from Marco. Then I log back in and the situation is resolved by removing the Hera Tani pin and now there is no G5 on Marco.

Marco Quent can only do max of grade 4.. he can't do grade 5 at all on any item... so his blue print can never be grade 5...
His sets are
Power plants are max of grade 4
Power distro are max of grade 3
Hes very much useless... hes there as a road block to limit the others unlocking quickly...

Ah ok. well I guess the only thing I found was a new facet of the pined blueprint doesn't stick bug...
Do you know for sure that I should be able to have Marco pined to Armored with Hera pined to Overcharged? Assuming it sticks this time?

Yes, you should be able to. I have modules for which I have two different pinned options and so far they've worked for me.

Thanks for your help everybody!

Now to remember to never leave an engineer without first re-logging to verify pinning.

Grats OP!

.....Good advice :)
Glad you got the info you needed - but something veeeeeery shady is going on with pinned Blueprints having a mind of their own.....
