PvP No High Wakes for Villains

On this evening this CMDR was made clear that even a jump into another system is no longer sufficient to escape the executioner.

Eh but it is. Just cut engines immediately after wake to force a drop to regular space. The gods of instancing then protect you from any pursuit. It's garbage but true. I'm assuming you just stumbled across gankers unaware of this one trick that bounty hunters, pirates, and murderers of all types don't want you to know!

F(&(&(&&*(& instancing.

Fair Point man. I've been on the receiving end of a 4v1 and it's never fun thats for sure.

Ditto, though under the right circumstances they can be rather enjoyable..

For instance a Viper4 with Force shells, a dense asteroid ring and a wing of pilots not used to high manuverability battles can result in some incredibly amusing results, more of a survival test than anything else, but still an awful lot of fun.

Reasons to be cheerful..gankers being ganked. I’m all for pvp, ganking isn’t about using skills , it’s about being a doofus , especially seal clubbing.

I’m still learning and practicing FA OFF in the hope of getting better enjoyment from pvp.I have a serious question about it and a Hotas.

My settings are causing too much over shooting in both pitch and yaw ..not so much if I start FA off from stationary and using only thrusters, but certainly in combat the slightest twitch is too much so would a much larger dead zone help with that ? , I seem ok in a straight line, is it simply more practice or are there ideal settings?

You could do with setting some curves to your joystick. That will make smaller movements less twitchy.
Joystick Gremlin is a nice program for it if you're on PC.

Well since a few lawful PVP videos have been able to stay up without issues on the forums I think it may be time posted a few from my view soon... you will see lots of highwakes.
You have no reason to be ashamed of high-waking out when your encounters go poorly for you.
It is better to live to fight another day.

Was talking about the lawful lot but you are correct...
Harry, you killed me twice as I was trying to high wake.... That was really fun. It's so much fun trying to kill you. And I am sure you will kill me in the future but I will keep trying to kill you anyway. I have a ton of rebuys. However, if you remember to, could you please try to turn Crimes Off if you haven't already? I will also remind anyone with whom I am flying.

Wait, Harry has Crimes On?
THIS COULD BE A CAREER ENDING REVELATION FOR A NOTORIOUS PK!

Harry, any comment?

In all honesty, mate, there are not many top tier PvP Hotas users.. I can think of one... Commander Toruide.... but he also used KB and Mouse before going back to Hotas just for fun. The relative mouse makes FA off so much easier than Hotas FA off that it's basically criminal. Believe me I tried for four months to improve my rail aim in Hotas FA off. I switched from a full Thrustmaster 16000 setup to 16000 FCS throttle and mouse because as much as I tried, I could not use rails effectively....and rails are necessary to counter SCBs. Using relative mouse and rails is trivial compared to joystick. It may seem overwhelming to go to mouse and throttle, but after two weeks now I am much more comfortable. Use a mouse with a zillion buttons. Yaw is x axis, Pitch is y axis. Personally I put roll on mouse left and mouse right with fire, boost and pips on 12 side buttons. My throttle settings are nearly the same as they were when I was using a joystick. It's also really easy to make pip distributions with Auto Hotkey. I have 12 different buttons devoted to pip management and they are all on the throttle and mouse. Now I just have to learn to switch between them..... lol

Whatever you decide, good luck to you.

Many lawfuls have Crimes On. Some gankers get tired of that and put theirs on in response. Whoever fires the first shot gets wanted. Advantage lawfuls I would say.
Psst… I'm trying to get Harry wrapped up in a nice little scandal. A little help would be appreciated.

and yes harry always has crimes on. you can see it multiple endless times on his stream videos and also in my video where i evaded his frag aim bot.

@Krash what you wrote is not correct. let me quote @FireFox13 here. another fleet cmdr of SPEAR

FR forces are always Crimes OFF. We are making a check in the beginning of each session in our vocal channel. Sometimes, later connected CMDR forgot to check it, but it is extremely rare, and as soon as we see the Cop message incoming, we always ask to the last who has logged on, to check it again, just in case... Sometimes we are switching ON our crimes, against particular CMDRs that we call the "Pseudo-PvPers" who decide to interdict and attack us and keep their crimes ON. A quick Ramming check, Fine received ? Ok, Crimes ON for us so. This is made to force them to understand the goal of a real PvP fight : No NPC ships involved, or simply go back PvE and leave the zone...

he wrote this in SPEAR embassy and groups like SDC, Nomads and PRISM for example know it.

and that's my position on that point also known by the known PvP Clans.
i said this very often. and i repeat it. when i have the command over a fleet i give two advices before battle starts. wing beacon on crimes off. this advice is repeated when new pilots join over the hours.

Please be careful when using this terminology.
It makes it look like you're accusing him of cheating.

Oof that's a little salty...

well THAT MUST BE CHANGED

Lawfuls and any unLawfuls who already don't do so, please turn crimes off.... you are dividing the PvP community and wrecking the game for all of us.

If i'm in a friendly duel, crimes off. If I winged with Spear I would turn crimes off, but I'm usually alone and outnumbered so I leave crimes on. I've tried to play crimes off 100% of the time and then I run into a wing with crimes on and all bets are off. Its just simpler this way.
