I think it would be cool if there was a module we could fit onto our ships that would transmit a counterfeit ship id signal when activated, allowing us to dock on stations that are "hostile" to us.

Please, Frontier, consider this idea. It would provide additional rp and gameplay opportunities for minimal work on your end.

Only if you use a slot to fit that module. Could balance it by making the module bigger than justa size 1, or power cost, or both, or something else.

Maybe I have watched and read too much sci fi, smugglers often have cool transponder fakers in sci fi. I'd also like some kind of manifest cloaker that lets you hide x amount of smuggled (i.e. illegal) goods from scans (even if it means reduced cargo carrying capacity).
