First off let me say, Greeting Commanders o7. Hope you are flying safely. I have been away from the game for over a year now. I recently got back into it because a buddy of mine is playing it and I am helping him out with sight seeing, missions, lore etc. etc. Anyways, he wants to see the invading Thargoid aliens. Now I am not sure where, what or how to find them. I was wondering if there is an easy way to find them. Also, if I placed this post in the wrong spot. I am sorry, like I said. It has been awhile and everything is a little different.

Typically filter the galaxy map with status and Incursion.
A list of systems currently being visited by Thargoid tourists can be found under GalNet news. (off season right now)
Also look for the damaged star port icon if you want to look for the mess that Thargs leave behind.

Ha ha, right on. So just fulter incursion on the Galaxy map then? So do you know when they will be back from their holiday?

No. Its up to Frontier, right now they have been beat back.

Check systems with damaged stations that are in incursion state. They commonly have AX combat zones. Another option that is less intense for first time meeting of the thargoids is the support ship that orbits the damaged station in those same systems. Check its mission board they commonly offer missions to destroy thargoids and will spawn non-human signal sources in near by systems.

Go for ax conflict zones in systems whit red station icon's on the gal map.

i always found plenty of thargs (non-human signal sources) in/around maia. the sky is also gorgeous there.

the "threat level" of the nhss tells you what kind of cauliflowers you might encounter:

they may not necessarily be immediately hostile but don't anger them too much unless you want some fun
