my first trip to Colonia and my finds and thoughts on this matter.

I like the idea of this but i feel that that stations between on the colonia route should be alot more established than Colonia is as it the road too i just on my way back from Colonia and i was surprised how colonia is more set up as a hub than the station along the route are. i thought bing as it on the frontier of a space ship route it should not be as set up as it is right now i feel the station on route should be more set up than Colonia itself. So i like to see some improvements in this area of the game as i stated colonia is a frontier system not a major hub like it is now but that just me and my thinking.

Right now there is no where on the route to run missions to take a break from all that scanning along the way or even reship or modify your current ship we in again i feel this needs to be addressed.

In just under a month i have taken the trip to Colonia in a asp and coming back in a anaconda and i thought about this on most of my trip there and back while i was streaming it even some community members agree with me on this matter as i feel that these should have more then mining donate trade mission i mean to get out to one to the other for me was like 186 from one station to the other i mean how can u do trade mission when there is no other system close by to do this i feel that these stations have been left and just used like a truck stops for long trips out in the middle of nowhere.

Once i done with my travels i tend to add all the info to a spreadsheet with all the high value targets i found just a heads up i did not use the neutron star highway so you can guess on how many jump i done in just under a month of jumping and scanning i am doing this so if players wanted to scan systems so good targets this will help them make a little money for they travel. This was my very first time out of the bubble and back.

I thought it could be some thing that Community could be aiming to do as to help build these mini hub's up and this will give us all the opportunity to do EVEN more exploration place to work out from. this would help increase this in them area's of space.

Plus give us as player's break from all the exploring along the way so if we like to just run some missions before the next trip out to Colonia or the unknown. This way we don't have to have second/third/forth accounts to do stuff like this.

After doing the trip my self of over 1200 jumps i would of like to have taken a break from all the scanning along the way but there was NOTHING bar that one station which to be honest felt really bad the lack of other stations close by to run mission within close area to run goods or work for.

I was told to also suggest in community goal section of the forum so that why i posted here in the community goal section.

This topic was MOVED from the COMMUNITY GOAL section of the forums with out any reason why as i thought it would be a GREAT IDEA !!!!!

You found stations along the way, I've been headed out into the black for a week now in a DBX and haven't found a single one. I don't like the idea of sitting in space overnight while I sleep so I go until I find a land-able planet to spend the night. It would be nice to find a station I do needs some repairs and my srv is out of thruster juice.
But I'm not headed to Colonia I am taking a non-beatin route to see what I can find, almost every jump has been first discovery by me(according to EDSM) and it is adding up to quite a bit of cr's. Doing the "Trifecta" - what I call it, Saga A-> Colonia -> Bubble. But I did stop in to see the Guardian towers.

There were some CG's not long after I joined on PS4 which added 3 new stations en route to Colonia.

There are also deep space research stations available, mostly planetside or in asteroid belts if you detour slightly. Try entering your current system into EDSM/EDDB to see whats nearby.

As most ppl visiting them are in exploration ships, stopping off for some repairs or to cash in data I can't see the need myself to evolve them all into mini-bubbles.

If you get bored on a long trip a better way to break things up would have been to look in the Codex for nearby interesting sights, take an SRV or if you can an SLF for a spin on a planet.

A slight detour via the Trifid nebula would have allowed you to see Lagrange clouds for example.

I recently got back from The Black after a two month expedition to Beagle Point, didn't see a single station or outpost anywhere. If you fly away from The Bubble, then the attendant risks come with it, along with the need to be self reliant.

You get a break by landing on interesting planets or moons and taking the SUV out to do some material gathering.

Here i hope this helps https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/the-colonia-connection-route-map.298533/ there on planets on the planets so u will need the DLC for this

Again how long before u get bored of doing that i know i done it in the past for like 14 days just to get me some of the engineer matts again can be boring as hell to do but then it was my choice to trade and take the best reward money to help me get better ships and modules rather than take engineer items.

I was told to do the road to riches tour but i dont like to do some things the easy way to get ahead of the game. But since then i done 90% of that tour just for the exploration and i must say there was a hell of a lot missed out that should of been scanned to make even more money on that list i got about 100 more to do before i done. Even my friend has seen what i seen on that road to riches and yes she was a little shocked too.

Colonia was a frontier in the past, but it isn't any more. There are some populated systems on the fringes of the region that you might still class as frontier territory, but the heart of Colonia is densely populated and settled. It is an alternative hub, and was always intended to be.

Sure, maybe it's transformed from wilderness into garden in an unrealistically short time, but then, it's a game, and FD can't really have the area building steadily over a few decades. But there's nothing unreasonable about that transformation itself. Events have given an opportunity for people to create a new world, far from the Fed/Emp dispute (an idea that has deep roots in Elite lore) and also conveniently far from where the Thargoids are attacking. There's no reason why, with billions settling out there, it shouldn't have become comfortable and civilised.

Total regional population is just over 9 million - we've got a while to go before "billions" - and agreed, everything's sped up in game so getting this far in 3 years rather than 3 decades seems reasonable. (In-universe, there are potential justifications based on tourist and service income, and not having legacy infrastructure to deal with, that allow it to have a significant trade surplus to the bubble and therefore quickly establish its own economy)

I suspect Frontier are largely setting the size based on player activity - it's large enough at the moment for all the systems to get some use (some more than others) - but it would need a lot more player presence and activity to justify any major increase in the number of systems, or people would just get too spread out. (Other types of development could be justified with the current player count, though)

The three earthlikes on Colonia Connection Highway have two stations in each system, no? Perhaps there could be an additional habited system close enough for each for missions. That'd be micro-bubble enough. Doesn't really concern me as I breeze through using the neutron stars fast enough to stay entertained.

Apologies - millions does make a bit more sense than billions.
