Should there be a cap on Ship transfer Cost? well over half a BILLION! ? Really?

Just about to head back to the bubble from Colonia to do my triple elite thing (PewPew) and thought maybe I could transfer my half built PewPew ship to Colonia and finish it here.

657,338,272 Credits! I'll fly back I think!

Be interested to know what the biggest transfer cost you have seen also!

People constantly complain that there's no money sinks in the game.
I think there should be no cap. I mean I should be able to transfer ships between any shipyards regardless to price. I do not expect it should be cheaper. Once I have a money and I need that ship at that shipyard then there should not be other limits.

Absolutely, same. And not just that, it takes what, three days? This is a perfect example where the 'but space is big, what about griefers, people will exploit it!!!' people simply made the game less fun with zero advantages for everyone. Waiting three days for a 3A sensor to arrive absolutely benefits noone, in any way, at all. Having people not be able to afford to send over their mining ship benefits noone. Thank the lord they didn't buckle when people demanded multicrew could only be activated when everyone involved was in the same instance already, and lets hope they ignore these people when re-working some of the mechanics behind travel in general.

I'm just imagining myself as an npc ship delivery man, a job comes through to take a ship all the way to colonia and then return back to base in the company stock sidewinder, I can hear myself saying "I don't get out of bed for less than half a billion mate".
On the other hand, I can be out exploring in deep space, much further out than colonia, my ship blows up and I am back in a bubble station in seconds in a ship with an identical loadout.
Balance, immersion. .. hmmm.

Are these the same NPCs that expect us to be their cabdriver to Sag A and back for 30 million?

Having flown a Corvette to Colonia I got to about halfway and decided that, actually, half a billion sounds fair... Think carefully about just how many jumps are needed for a Corvette

I just recently transferred my 'Vette to Colonia, for well over half a billion. I spent the 3 days mining and paid it off that way. If there wasn't mining, I probably would have flown it myself, but I figured 3 days mining was more fun than 3 days travelling in the 'Vette :)

Fairly sure the griefers were not in favor of wait times. It's a dumb mechanic and a inconvenience to everyone. But mah immershun right?

No, the wait time was there (partly) to stop griefers flying between two distant points in an exploration ship, then immediately replacing it with a big murder boat when they got there.

And look at the game right now. People have no problem ganking, other than this minor inconvenience. It changes nothing. Gankers will Gank. This just slowed everyone down for no reason.

Really? You've extensively researched how many people go to Colonia and then wait sixty hours, have you?

Also, note I said 'partly'. The other reason is because space is big. It takes time to go places. As has been said in countless threads, if you want instant travel to everywhere this is not the game for you.

Nah. I refer to the bunch of players who were concerned griefers would fly around in asps, teleport their Corvettes and do naughty things.

They probably didn't anticipate griefers following DW2...

Sure and if The Griefers want to grief, they will fly their ships to a location and do what they intended. A wait time changes nothing to this regard. Your argument is based on the assumption that all griefers jump around in their jumpy ships, then transfer over their killing machine, which quite simply isn't the case. Most Griefers/Gankers jump around in gank spec jumping ships which are built for the task. It's quite rare you will have a ganker ship over a vette to go hunt sidewinders.

The ship wait time hurts the PvPers more, who want to go to a CG to have actual constructive and fun PvP against other capable targets. Not to mention the PvE crowd.
