Re: Money Supermarket Trade Advice

o7 cmdrs

With the market fluctuations can anyone reccomend a commodity that keeps its resale value quite high with its purchase price quite low..

Rare items. Create a Rare item trade route (loop) with station stops that are about 160ly aparty.
Round robin the route buying and selling as you go. Sell the rare at maximum inflation.

Thanks folks. I've found a route that gives me 3,500,000 per 280 tonne. Woohoo hope the stocks last.. no details just yet. Will post tonight

Polymers
For example, Buy in LHS 220 at Culpeper Colony (52 cr/ton) and sell at LHS 197, Yu Port for more than 8500 cr/ton Profit
Are there large landing pads available?
I can't seem to get the hang of void opal mining despite trying to follow guides I can never seem to find the right rock.
This sounds like it could work for me in my Trutter.
Also my mining ship is in Colonia and will cost me 460mil in shipping fees.

Yeah I can't seem to get the hang of funding the right rocks no matter what video guides I watch.
Anyone know of a mining group on discord i could wing with at the weekend (UK)?
My tip, is use the camera suite instead of the cockpit.
Put the camera on, with ship controls.
Honk the PWS.
Switch to camera controls, and do a 360 (as as muchas possible) looking for very bright asteroids.
When it fades, switch back to ship control, honk again, repeat.

The best possible per-tonne profit margin on purchasable cargo seems to be for Military Grade Fabrics. Buy from State: None, Sell to Boom+Civil Liberty+Pirate Attack for a large profit, maybe around 14k/tonne

Polymers can be pretty good as well - Buy from Boom+Civil Liberty, Sell to Investment - should get around 9k/tonne.

Then a bunch more - including the famous Medicines->Outbreak, though that one isn't great for the return trip - at around 5-6k/tonne

Trade profits quietly went up a bit in 3.3 - though high-end mission cargo like Palladium or Gold will still beat bulk trading, if you can find somewhere that gives enough of them at once.

Got enough to buy and outfit a t9 trader tonight. Can't wait.. then I'll be earning mega mega amounts. Mission get my cutter underway.. ETA 1 year

I don't believe any of the suggestions regarding shape or brightness of rock - in my experience, a void opal rock can be pretty much any of the ones that glow (though a brighter glow does seem to indicate higher chance). I don't know of any mining groups, but I'd be quite happy to go mining for a couple of hours if you want company. I like exploding rocks. :) Can't remember where I left my mining ship, but it can't be far... I usually find a mining spot a jump or two from where the prices are high (not sure where that would be currently).

Void Opals. :p

Buying price, 0cr
Selling price, 1,600,000cr (roughly)

Yes this.

Just core mine. A good Crack on a rock gets you 10 to 15 tons of VOs.

2 hours in a Hotspot can net you 4 or 5 rocks. And if you Crack them open properly that's over 100m in profits. Just bring a Python for the job.

Most importantly its not a dull, life sapping, and skill less cargo run. 🙄😂

Pack your hold 50% full of limpets.
Turn on night vision in the ice rings.
PWS only for ultra bright yellow lumpy rocks with reddish hues.
Get in close, use your NV to pick out the X-shaped like fissures.
Pop a prospector limpet.
Take only VOs, LTDs, Alexandrite, Grandidierite.
Ignore the rest.
Place your charges properly in the blue zone.
Blow em up and spam collector limpets.
Profit.
