I have a conundrum..

A) do I grind for more credits to upgrade a t9..
B) do I sell my trusty python with engineered fsd to upgrade to

I don't want to make a mistake in might regret. The only part that I'm worried about is interdictions. I can evade everytime in my python. I've never lost an interdiction. But I'm unsure how a t9 would handle during this mini game

I remember trading my way in a T7 to afford it, it took forever, I'll never sell it.

Equip the Python and go deep core mining for a couple of hours 192 Tonnes of Void Opals is worth approximately 316 MCr

Keep the Python. It has uses that the T-9 can't fulfill. And don't forget to keep a couple rebuys worth of credits at hand when buying the T-9.

Do not sell, fit the python for VO mining, go VO mining until you have over 100t, have enough for the t9 and still have the python. Simples imo

As others have said, keep the Python, it is one of the best and most versatile ships in the game. It made me the credits to afford a Type 9 (which I didn't use all that much) and an Anaconda, before it was easy to make credits deep core mining. Also, Don't sell engineered modules, you don't get extra credits for them. Store them for later use if you don't need it on a ship anymore.

DO get a Type-9. Every CMDR needs on in their fleet. Have fun!
DO NOT sell the Python. That ship is too useful when you need a medium ship. It is by far the best medium pad ship in the game for space truckers. Also yeah never sell an engineered module.

BTW, I love my T9 and have never been interdicted by an NPC in it. I need to edit the video I have from last week when I was hauling in my T9 and within a span of about 20 minutes had 3 NPC's try and interdict me. Also, love the name of the 3rd NPC in this list

It's against every known galactic law to sell your Python once it is bought.

On a more serious note... I would never sell an engineered module (just put them into storage), but if I had need of money for another ship, and that was so that I could earn more money, then I would sell modules from other ships (and even the ship itself). You can always buy the ship back again once you've earned the money.

I'll add my vote for not selling the Python. Ever. For any reason.

I bought my Python after 10 months of playing and I can safely say that waiting that long was possibly the biggest mistake I made in the game.

Never sell your ships. Seriously. You'll regret it.

That only becomes the case when you have enough credits. I remember selling lots of ships when I first started out, just so that I could A grade my new one. As above, you can always buy them back again once you have the money.

Credits come easy, engineered stuff doesn't. So whatever you do keep your engineered modules. I'd echo the other comments here...figure out how to do deep core mining. It's a skill, don't be fooled. It will take you time to master. But it's very lucrative. Your Python will do a fine job of it, and you'll be able to buy whatever other ships you want pretty quickly.

The t9 is a great ship, but the python is the most versatile ship in the game. If you sell your python you will regret it.
