Help, landing pad not big enough and I can't put my cargo in another ship

Well, I got myself in a bad situation. I am doing a cargo mission and it needs to have 180 cargo, so I got my anaconda which is my only ship that can. Then I realize when I got there...turns out I can't land there and I can go into another ship to deliver it. How can I get myself out of this situation

Unfortunately, unless you've got a ship with 180 cargo space, you're going to have to abandon the mission. Surprised it allowed you to take the mission, it should have given you a "ship too large" warning if you were in the conda when you took it.

(1) drop the mission (you'll get a fine and drop in rep)
(2) eject the cargo (as it will now be illicit)
(3) pay the fine at an interstellar factors (dont go back to where you took the mission unless you like prison food)
(4) chalk it down to experience.

If you havent loaded the cargo then it can stay in the system cargo bay whilst you switch to a different ship, but sounds like you're too late for that. Never tried it, but I assume you can't unload it back to the bay? (before you drop the mission :) )

(y)

(1) drop the mission (you'll get a fine and drop in rep)
(2) eject the cargo (as it will now be illicit) sell cargo at a blackmarket to recoup losses
(3) pay the fine at an interstellar factors (dont go back to where you took the mission unless you like prison food)
(4) chalk it down to experience.

Not necessarily in that order but that's up to you.
