Fallout 76 Announced - Are you in?

Another hilarious episode from our good friends at Bethesda, banning someone because of "too much ammo" (video might be NSFW):

Worth notice, the banned person had over 900 (!) hours clocked in the game so they probably banned F76 biggest fan. [haha][haha][haha]

The dumpster fire continues. While not exactly pay to win, the new atom store repair kits are a hard 180 from "it will only be consmetic items".

FO76 still doesn't exist to me but this is a step in the right direction. Part of the fun of FO is the weird NPCs you come across and turn into cannon fodder. Not having them in FO76 was a terrible idea...among a lot of other terrible decisions. So maybe one day it will be something.

FO76 getting NPCs

Uuuggg Kotaku.......

According to that ferret looking Todd Howard in a recent interview.... It doesn't matter if a game releases in a "buggy unfinished state", as long as years down the road it resembles what they advertised.

Can't wait to watch elder scrolls 6 fail. Maybe it will be a "true elder scrolls experience" like ES Blades....

The modding community makes Bethesda games into what they are and what they should be.

An interesting statement. I was playing FO76 but then went back to FO4 instead.

Think the last vanilla Bethesda game I played was Morrowind. Where mods a thing back then? I remember using them at some point but I don't know when it was. Always something to fix and improve with those games. The unofficial patch is usually the first order of business with a new install.

When Todd Howard came on stage this year, and joked about how they've conned millions of people I felt genuinely sick. And people applauded that worm. What is wrong with the world?

Ed Lewis always seemed a nice guy, he sure picked the worst possible time to join Bethesda community team... Community's view on Bethesda is at an all time record low, even I who have many thousand hours on Bethesda Games, more time on their games than I have spent on all other games combined, am starting to believe they are speeding towards the point of no return... If they botch Starfield (whatever it is) and especially Elder Scrolls 6, it will be the end on an era. They need to get their excrement together, and drop the microtransactions and paid mods bullpoo, and start focusing on making good games again, or they'll join EA on the Most Despicable Game Company club.

Never should have made FO76 online. Should have made it the typical buggy single player game and let the community fix it. Then move on to SF and ES 6.

With that attitude I hope companies dont mind if I simply "dont waste my money on an unfinished buggy game" and just wait for a few years until the product is worth my money? I guess until then there will be other companies releasing games that do have the qualities on release I value getting my money. I m glad publishers these days can have such a chillaxed attitude toward what their customers think and want.

...or they assume their hold on the brainwashed cattle is so strong that they can do whatever they want.

Bethesda games astound me.

They are stupidly popular. They are released unfinished, buggy and unlearnt from previous games. The mod community fixes everything that the company can't be bothered to....

.... then they introduce a "paid Mod" initiative. EFFECTIVELY milking the rewards of their lack of competence, duplicity, stubbornness and stupidity.

I ain't giving this guy any more money, it'll be a dry season in game land before I do so again.
