GAMEFOOTAGE VIDEO
What I gleaned from the video.
- Night an day cycle.
- Staff member feeding elephants. Empty, filled, being eaten. (the middle pictures)
- Hippo defecating and spreading feces with its tail.
- Staff cleaning poo from exhibit. (bottom left)
- Guests have umbrellas for rain.
- Weather changes in the zoo, I am guessing from bear exhibit is the same one from the other screenshots.
- Chimps enrichment box. That disk on the ground, geekism mentioned it could be linked to the box. Where you place the disk is where the box and place for the chimps to interact with the box will be.

YOUTUBE VIDEOS
Geekism- Animals he saw. Zebra, Giraffe, Chimpanzee, Springbok, Wildebeest, Saltwater crocodile, Wild dog, Cheetah, Iguana.
- Exhibits completely freeform. Borders can be made pretty much out of anything you like: terrain, rocks, ditches, water (ie chimps on islands because can’t swim)
- Every animal has an incline percentage that they know they can climb. Elephants can take only small inclines so ditches can be used for their enclosures on the other hand Chimps can climb so need sheer faces, fence structure, or water.
- Water. In Planet Coaster it is a sprite. But in Planet Zoo water is completely volumetric and dynamic not only to terrain but all placeableitems thus scenery stops water.
- Weather. Rain, puddles. Placed items stop rain. Thus shelters.
- Chimps. interact with placeable items. Climb and run on them.
- Safari jeep. Took about 6 people in the back. Rides on track.
- Guests. Get hungry thirsty, and tired. But what is new is an "understanding feature" that needs filled up as they learn about the animals. Use billboards, you place and select an nearby animal, the billboard generates a picture, name of the animal, and information about that animal. Guest interact with them and read them.
- Staff. There are staff paths to create full backstage areas to get in and out of staff buildings and animal enclosures. Like staff kitchen where food is prepared. Geekism gave n example of exhibit with Wild dogs. They placed a staff member, the staff member walked through the door of enclosure, they noticed the wild dogs needed food, they walked back to kitchen and prepared the food. So placement of staff building important.
- Staff buildings. Not like Planet Coater, they are not blackholes, they have interiors. Can make exterior anyway you want.
- Multi-gendered staff. Both male and female versions of staff members.
- Iguana. In a cage that is pretty much empty, it is small and made of glass, can decorate exterior. In scenario mode you can level up these boxes to include extra details, i.e. add a plank of wood, a tree, foliage, etc. from dropdown menu. But you still can add items to it outside of that but it won’t interact with exhibit.

- Iguana – terrariums. Unlock features to decorate.
- User interface – Planet Coaster like but a lot nicer. More clean. Change color. Had so many new stuff like the type of weather you are going to have the next day.
- Energy management and waste management. So you have to decide where to but your staff.
- You can look inside the staff members buildings.
- Staff pathway. Guess will not be happy seeing the staff areas.
- Animals are born, mate, die.
- Management is not like planet Coaster. According to them its amazing.
- Narrative like ghostbuster dcl and what is in JWE now.
- If you build structure too close to fence certain animals can jump out of the enclosure.
- Everything you put down animals can walk on it.
- Build shelters anyway you want to. Animals will use them.
- Trains can go from one enclosure to another through gates. (?)
- Animals grow, take traits of parents. For example a zebra like to play with staff (?), can pass the trait on to children.
- Solar panels.
- Planco brands are in the game.
- Themes: New world American, British classic, and African. There are more that were not revealed.
Infomation is in DeLadysinger section
- Soil changes with or with the lack of precipitation.
- Animals get dirty and you need to provide a means for them to clean up.

Some interesting quotes:
- Genetics. "You’ll be able to watch generations of animals and watch how a parents genetics can be seen in their offspring. Bay animals are genetically determined by their parents meaning that you’ll be able to see a family resemblance go through the family tree."
- Mix animal enclosurs. "...certain animals can be grouped together in one harmonious, co-existing habitat. A group of zebra can live happily alongside a herd of wildebeest and this can contribute to their enrichment and welfare stats..."
- Enrichment objects. "These objects also highlight Planet Zoo’s piece-by-piece building system as climbing frames can be constructed from anything, wooden poles, walls, roofs, anything that is climbable, bringing together two of Planet Zoo’s major mechanics together: building and managing."
- Terrain management. Unlike Planet Coaster "in Planet Zoo it can genuinely impact your animals’ happiness and well-being. There are a number of sliders on your animals’ profiles that go up and down depending on their environment; making sure those sliders are all in the green is a priority for a great zoo."
- Small animals. "...smaller animals...they have their own glass houses...In these exhibit houses, you can manually change the temperature and humidity of the houses" to keep animals happy.
- Keepers and staff huts. "They can cater to all the requirements of the animals and help keep the habitats in top condition. Once you hire a keeper they will move between habitats to see what the animals need and then go to the nearest keeper’s hut to gather supplies. To get the very best treatment for your animals you can conduct some research that will improve aspects in your zoo, one of them being the dietary requirements for your animals. Keepers will also keep an eye on water replenishment and clean the habitat, by accessing the staff huts."
- Staff only paths. "...if guests see staff huts that break the illusion of the zoo for them so you have to strategically place the huts near enclosures but also hide them from guests.,,Planet Zoo has introduced ‘staff only paths’ so you can hide away your staff buildings to stop guests get hot-headed."
- Guest. Planet Zoo is also about managing the guests of your park. Guests also have needs that need to be fulfilled, and catering to guests is a whole separate managerial task for players building a great park. Animal habitats need to be in full view for the guests to have a fun time, there needs to be lots of food stands so they don’t get hungry, and plenty of bathrooms for when times get desperate.
- Education need. "A new need that guests have, compared with the ones in Planet Coaster, is that they now have an educational need. To this end, you can place signposts and information boards around your park to inform your guests of the animals."
- Jeep ride. "Planet Zoo has introduced a jeep ride that takes guests through the habitats. The track the jeep follows is placed down by the player and the ride if fully customisable, from the colour of the vehicle to the price of rides."
