I cant help but think that the galnet news is just full of riddles, I went and scaned Halseys vision and it led me to where she gave her speech but the system needs a permit. So question 1 is it worth geting the permit or should I try to google lore and info that way. o7 and do you have any thoughts on this

Check that the permit is unlockable before you spend hours trying to get it. I think there is a post on the forums listing all the permits that can be unlocked.

If you want to "roleplay" it for fun, sure go ahead.

Otherwise you're wasting your time, Galnet doesn't really connect all that much with actual ingame content.

Yeah, since >99% of all GALnet articles are fake news/ASCII-only fluff and have nothing to do with the real Galaxy, it's typically chasing ghosts.
Not recommended if one expects to find anything in-game.
