I cannot find answer anywhere and I'm not sure if anyone has tried: when placing two Jurassic Tours on the same enclosure, can they be connected to one another? Also, Gyrosphere gates work for them? Ty
I don't have the DLC @Alan_Grady , but:
Gyrospheres have their own specific gates, so does the Jurassic Tour. It's evident in their design, as shown in BIS's DLC preview video in YT.
As for 2 Jurassic Tours connecting to one another, I think not. Game mechanics dictate that whatever building a vehicle comes out of, it always returns to it, & I dont think the paths of 2 Jurassic Tours can be made to intersect each other, since the Jurassic Tour seems to basically have the same mechanics as the Gyrosphere.
You can't connect 2 gyrosphere stations. There's nothing to fix, since each gyro station having their own track layout is fine as it is.Whoops I just made a thread about this. But yes you cannot connect two tours like you can with gyrospheres so I am hoping that they can fix it.

Nope. I tried it a while ago while revising my park, no joy with it. Regardless though, the gyrosphere/jurassic tour mechanics of 1 station=1 track is fine.
Attraction options are already limited, but transport's case is hideous.
This. I never use the monorail because of how ugly it is and a pain to place but when I do its only to link different areas of the park. I was really hoping to solve this issue forever by using the Jurassic Tour as a means to transport guests around the park. I feel that they should let gyros and tour trucks connect and serve as a transport but make it so that transporting people is less than monorails that way monorails still have a use. The idea being that if they can rehaul/fix the guest system monorails would carry about 50 or whatever amount of people per train where as a truck could carry six and gyros only carrying two. You could further balance this out with gyros having the highest fun rating with tours being second and monorail being last.
I have a solution to your monorail placement problems. I always drop stations in the areas I want to connect first. Then I put a little track out from each end of the station. Because we know how much of a pain it is to connect track to a station (sharp curves and other restrictions), but its always easy to start track and connect track to track. So basically I'm able to get Monorail stations where I need them most easily.This. I just don't like having monorail tracks all over the map, it feels wrong and ruins the landscape, not to mention they sometimes contribute to terrain constraints cluttering it all.
I haven't played the DLC yet. But from what I have seen in videos the Jurassic safari tour has gates like the gyrospheres. You can run one tour through multiple enclosures. I don't know if they can be connected though.
Thanks for the tip =)
That's what I'm doing most of the time but that's not the point. I just don't like having monorail tracks all over the map, it feels wrong and ruins the landscape, not to mention they sometimes contribute to terrain constraints cluttering it all.
To connect at least two Jurassic Tour stations feels a lot more natural but, again, if the problem is gameplay, at least allow that on Sandbox.
The maps are way to small for me to ever use the monorail. Even the larger maps they look awful and its really hard to make the rails look nice. Would be really great to have the Jurassic Tours as an alternative at the very least.
That's what I'm doing too but, as I've said, it still ruins the landscape. I even try to place as little station as I can and completely avoid making a 'double loop' of monorail track encircling the whole map.
Why not just do what Jurassic World did with the majority of the monorail's tracks, have them built next to the edge of the island's valleys?
well what some of us would like is to have jurassic tour be point A and another building be point B so you can ferry people between the two buildings as you can with monorails without having to struggle hiding a huge monorail track. Coding wise this should be a relatively easy feat so there is no reason not to include it when many people flat out dont want to use the monorail.
